Yes, thats normal for both Jedi and Sith.

The more focused, the better you connect to the Force.

The better connection you have to the Force the greater your actualised Force power is.

That's bullshit. Anakin was so angry(focused) on Mustafar, yet his Force strength was the same as Obi-Wan's.

More focus doesn't mean more Force strength(not when there are power levels established in the EU)
