Location and starting distance? Both those things could drastically impact a fight between the two.

Yeah, Hulk can cover 10m very quickly when he really wants to (as seen during his fight against Hulkbuster, for example). And, based on how it looked to me, Maw couldn't directly control living matter. He always seemed to be TK'ing inanimate objects. So, his face gets splattered in the opening moments of the fight.

Maw gets one shot back to where he came from
