My point was that, by the exact same logic, Magneto should be able to control all four fundamental forces as well.

Magneto info pages tend to support this conclusion. For example, Wikipedia says that:

The first part means that he can control the entire electromagnetic spectrum (light, gamma rays, x-rays, etc.), not just magnetic fields. The latter part means that he can control gravity as well. The forces of GUT are Magneto's to control.
