Mantis has a long history that establish's her as a Val Armorr tier martial artist, with corroborated feats like holding off a villain Surfer struggled with, shattering uber durable objects, or sprinting across a field to beat buck shot to its target.

Batman has a long history that establish's him as a top tier street, with very few peers and even fewer betters.


Yeah, you can put together a nice pile of Batman kicking herald butt, but that goes against the bulk of his showings, as well as in universe internal logic (The logic that he wouldn't need gimmicks or planning against Superman, much less his rogues gallery. Unless Catwoman and Joker can toss Wonder Woman..)
