The Democrats are making a strong push to abolish ICE, one of the smartest, toughest and most spirited law enforcement groups of men and women that I have ever seen. I have watched ICE liberate towns from the grasp of MS-13 & clean out the toughest of situations. They are great!

Seems like he wasn't trying to say these cities were under the direct control of MS-13. Rather that ICE has helped clear out MS-13 members from states with a large MS-13 presence.

By definition a nation CAN exist without borders (e.g Kurdistan, Tibet). A state or nation-state cannot.

This is not like Iraq/Turkey where Kurd nationals are separated by the borders of states. I understand that much of South Texas has always historically shared their heritage with Mexicans, but we're talking about immigrants coming in all over from South America, not to mention all the other countries due to overstayed visas and whatnot.

Because of that, I personally believe that the US (especially with the demographic shifts) is simply a state, not a nation-state.

We don't have a homologous population when concerning race, language, demographics, cultural identity, etc.

The influx of uncontrolled immigration will continue to divide the country.

I stand by Trump's policy on immigration, which was one of the most appealing to me during his campaign.


Now that being said:

As an idealist, I actually do believe open borders should be implemented in the unforeseen future, but as of now we're not ready. This will be determined by the Free Market.

As a general principle, I am uncomfortable with the idea of a blanket zero tolerance policy when it comes to enforcing charges of a misdemeanor. I think individual circumstances should be looked at in each case and take it from there.

It could take days or even weeks to confirm the circumstances the illegal is telling you made them come here are true though.

Whether or not the delay is correct would depend on why those countries see delays.

I'd assume the delay comes from verifying the person is who they say they are and that they are indeed married, etc.

You can start by naming the candidate since I can think of none.

Because not detaining families, asylum seekers and the like indefinitely at the border does not mean open borders. Like I said, even a policy of “catch and release” does not mean open borders.

A catch and release policy is just as bad as having an open border. It tells illegals that come here "hey you can get away with it". And now some dems actually have the audacity to whine about the term "catch and release".

This entire situation reminds me of guns. Democrats say they do not wanna take away guns, but their own words later on end up betraying them. They do this more and more and people are getting wise to it.
