Yeah Kent should win. He can basically do everythimg Surfer can (energy/matter manip, tp, tk, class 100 brick) plus has magic spells.

From full helmet era best example would be him physically fighting an alternate superman (with blonde hair - earth A rings a bell. Theres also IIRC a physical fight with Ultraman during a JLA/JSA crossover)

That was Hector, a inferior version.

Hector held his own with Mordru on his first day, and beat him in a rematch.

Kent held his own with the Spectre. Spectre>>Mordrdu.

Hector never demonstrated super strength, invulnerability, TP, TK WITHOUT the helm of Nabu that is the source of Fate's magical power. Kent on the other hand lost his full size helm of Nabu in 1942 and operated for the rest of the 40's as purely a super brick who could move things with his mind and had slight TP and magical senses.

In Kent's origin Nabu actually altered his body to be stronger and more durable. He also taught him the "secrets of molecular control" (that he also demonstrated to a minor degree during his hald helmet era)

Taught molecular control. Pre coie Kent spent decades learning from Nabu as he grew. Post COIE he was grown by Nabu instantly from young boy to man altered to be stronger and invulnerable and trained only a year or two.

Invulnerablity is also something Hector Never demonstrated without the helm.

Half helmet (non magical) Kent could also tank a brownstone dropped on his head without harm and a sustained blast of Nuclear fission energy.

I very much doubt that BA is doing anywhere near the same level of damage to Kent that he could do to Hector. Hector is absolutely as powerful as Kent in the ways of magic (arguments could be made to say even greater in power and I'd have no issue) he just doesnt have the physical powers within himself that Kent does that levels the playing field so to speak. Surfer can likely strike faster than Kent can react (to the best of my recollection he only had sonic level speed as a brick), but due to Kent's durability he simply isnt doing enough damage with a blitz to take it before Kent brings down the magic/ reality-matter manip hammer

If your tallimg about All Syar Squadron 27, i wouldnt callbit holding his own. They fought for 7 pages and when Spec cut loose Kent was done. Battle started with Kent splitting inton5 Fate's that Spexlc couldnt match due to being a spirit. That was purely distraction so Kent could get past him. Spec grew dealt with 4 cooies and the grabbed faye and pulled him out. Faye grew bigger than Spec which made him comment he was surprised at Kents power level. Spec grew to match Kents size and Kent was surprised he had become "equal" to which soec said they werr far from equal. Kent summoned a demonnto fight for him (which spec said he though was beneath him). Soec dispatched it then blasted kent with eye beams he said would destroy anyone else which won the fight by BFRing Kent to an "infinity of dimensions"

No where does kent hold his own for long

I dont see him being overpowered. I'd say he still has a power edge on Norin but the speed argument turns the tide the way it does for Supes vs Strange. The difference here is that Kent could tank any attack Surfer makes in a blitz without shields or magic spells. Same cant be said for Hector or Strange.

I dont see why or how thats marvel exclusive.

I'm not going to derail the thread (because it would be a train wreck) by saying which ones can take the blitza of who, but there are plenty who could.

Lets just say that Kent can tank enough that the level of damage he can do in the time his speed advantage would give him wouldnt put kent down before he can use magic. If Norrins combat speed were a few notches higher (or his damage output) the discussion would be changing
