That's not exactly an argument saying because one character did something when fighting another it takes the equivalent to doing a feat that the opposing character did at another point.

That basically leads to characters much weaker being superior because they at one time had an effect on a character more powerful than them so that means they can beat another character because they did something.

e.g Wolverines claws pierced a Thanos empowered by the Infinity Gauntlet therefore Wolverine can pierce every abstract beings body.
