Even-though Marvel has tried to create their own Batman in MK, Nighthawk and Night Thrasher the one who comes closest thematically and in importance in the MU is Tony Stark while not twins they have more similarities than differences. Lets look at their similarities.

1. They are both orphans
2. They both are multi-billionaires who border on trillionaire status. With buildings and businesses throughout the U.S if not the world.
3. They both are extremely intelligent and have equivalent of multiple PHD in several fields
4. They both are playboys and can easily get any women they want
5. They both use their wealth and resources to fight crime
6. They both are master of prep and usually think of contingencies several yrs in advance
7.They both are in their mid 30's and white males with dark hair
8. They both fluctuate between helping and pissing their teammates off.
9. They both are people of conviction that won't change even if everyone condemns them.
10. They both are futurist
11. They both spend considerable wealth funding their team and using their tech to give it a tech age over their adversaries.
12. They both use armor & other tech to fight crime
13. They both have pissed off and been hunted by their gov't over the yrs
14. They both while extremely dangerous in their own manner, they 're never the most powerful member of their respective team but among the most dangerous and resourceful.

The problem unlike Maxi thread where Batman and Spiderman traded universe and foes their rogues gallery is roughly equivalent in power.SPM are more physically powerful but BM rogues are smarter. For the most part IM foes are considerably more powerful than BM rogues while I would still give Batman the edge over them he would need massive prep.

So instead of trading rogues lets say they switched universe and Batman joined the Avengers and IM joined the JL. How would both the character and their success rate change? Given the JL has had both Cyborg & Steel who can duplicate most of what IM can do and Avenger has Cap & BP who can duplicate most of what Batman can do.

To make it even Batman keeps Wayne Enterprise his Mansion, his wealth resources, Alfred and all his Bat gadgets including Batplane, Batcar ect. IM also comes to the DCU with all his armor, wealth, penthouse and resources. So who does better in their new Universe and who helps their team more.

P.S How do you think Tony will react to LL or Bruce react to Justin Hammer?

They'd both defeat these adversaries.

Lex Luthor would handle Tony much differently than Bruce, due to their very different personalities. Unlike Bruce, Tony would be wildly successful to the point where Luthor feels the need to do something about him. In an argument, man to man, over dinner at a expensive diner with fine wine, they'll be even (Bruce loses his cool, while Tony plays dumb and laughs off everything, so he'd stalemate him and be more or less immune to Luthor's stonewalling attempts). In a hostile takeover, LexCorp without any PIS would wreck Stark Industry, ultimately, but in actuality the two would simply be relatively equal top tier worldwide companies competing against each other.

Iron-man is superior to both Cyborg and Steel put together. Cyborg is like 80% reliant on the motherbox technology to be relevant in the JLA, otherwise no one's tech in the JLA is as advanced as Tony's, and Steel is even more useless than Cyborg. Stark in any fight is superior to both of them simultaneously, and he can simply GET a motherbox, those things are like glorified cellphones to New Genesis. If Iron-man joined the Justice League, they'll see a big upgrade on overall technological quality (similar to how Lex made a 110% superior Watchtower when he joined, making both Cyborg and Batman look like fools).

Batman served as the leader and brains of the League (Prime Minister) people look for him to give orders, what to do and what to expect. While Superman is the figure-head or Face (King), the one who shouts the battlecry. For most of his history Iron-man was the face of the Avengers. While Tony is a genius inventor, Ironman is a brawler. With that much firepower, he never sits in the shadow. He is upfront, blasting everything. Just like Superman, and that's gonna be a big problem since Tony will probably be jealous of the attention Supermam receives. The reality is that Tony has a god complex and obeys the government first and foremost. Plus his being a man-whore and willingness to kill, due to being a war hero (yeah, Joker would die and hard...).

So overall, Iron-man would do okay, but the JLA will have to get used to his attitude. All his issues can be dealt with in time, but his pros far outweighs his constructs to the point where replacing Bruce with Tony is ultimately an upgrade to the JLA

Batman is useful with his gadgets, moreso than either T'Challa or Steve due to his bottomless pit utility belt, so in a team setting Batman would fit pretty well. But in a fight, he's not as impressive. Both Captain America and Black Panther are at base physically superior to Bruce and have weapons that can one-shot practically all of Batman's rogues while also having just as much skill in H2H combat as Bats. His ability as a strategist is negligible when compared to Captain America, who's also the leader so Batman is basically left as a detective guy (tech guys in Avengers are all far superior to Bruce), and other than that he's pretty underwhelming. Personality wise, he is a brooding loner with a controlling ego who won't trust anyone and will absolutely make contingency plans to take down the Avengers, and they will NOT be happy. Unlike Superman, Thor would be far less...tolerant of Batman if he tries any of his, "You could go out of control" stuff on him. On top of that, the Avengers aren't a bunch of boy scouts, they will kill guys heinous enough and Batman will have a big problem with that. Captain America and Batman would argue a lot, mainly due to Batman's controlling ego and underhanded nature.

Basically, the Avengers got the worse deal with Batman replacing Iron-man. The only person who'd like Batman is Black Panther, and even he'd get sick of him. The rest just tolerate him until they find a good reason to kick him out.
