But in fairness, Vin Diesel does need to stop with the XXX movies. That last one was abysmal. Not that it was necessarily his fault, but you know, he didn't have to take the role..

No, I know. That's money, though, not quality. It's just that I had heard (don't entirely know if it's true, though) that Vin had declined to do the sequels initially because he didn't think the script was good.

So it's just odd that he thought that script was good.

Something about that just irked me and I had the free time to deal with it.

I'm not even that big of a fan of Vin Diesel, it was the principle of the thing.

I should stop because I really don't care.

I'm really just pro-Vin because I want more Riddick films. But I actually don't care too much for most of his other stuff. The original xXx is somewhat entertaining, though, and A Man Apart.

They really could do a lot of world building if they really wanted to with Riddick, tons of potential.

Yeah. Well, that is actually how Vin acquired the rights to the character so they could be done independently. And I was hoping that he would be investing his profits from those films into Riddick, but I'm not so sure anymore. I know he has a hard time doing the character because he has to go to such a "dark place" for the role and he's got kid(s) now and all..

The next film was announced, titled "Furia," (even though it was always spelled Furya), but I've heard jack shit about it in the last few years since it was announced and I thought I saw that the director was going to be working on some other sci-fi movie, but it's not even mentioned on IMDB and he hasn't updated his blog in like 3 or 4 years.

Meanwhile Vin is getting old as fu#k and I don't know how well the character will work if he's got to have a cane to move around.

So I'm quite discouraged with the whole ordeal.
