Cheap, easily obtained numbers. Say, a horde of Tie Fighters vs as many Tie Defenders as can be mass produced in the same time, at the same expense.
Or use RTS games like Starcraft. Cheap and mass produced vs the good stuff.
Or for a real world example, billions of human fodder against a much better equipped, well armed, but much smaller group of people.
