Sounds like that has been America for a while.

Emperordmb
Seems more like the whole world. You have Justin Trudeau running Canada, Theresa May botching the Brexit negotiations, Macron creating riots, etc.

Putinbot1
And Putin, firmly in control... amirite guys? smile

Indeed, forcing Trump to sell weapons to the Ukraine and side against Maduro in Venezuela. Putin is playing 20D chess.

He's not. Put Trump in charge of the UK or France right now and he'd bungle those situations even more.

Self interested politicians.

Self interested corporations.

A self interested, socially disinterested, fractured populace.

The triple play of dystopia.

The system in place is set so that ordinary people cannot achieve power because they are fearful of the backlash and lives being ruined.

The triple play of dystopia. All I ask is that I'm still here in 20-30 years, so I can witness at least some social/cultural perspective on what's currently going on.

I will take this over the Fascist Utopia Shit Hole that Clinton or the Obama tried to turn the world into.

No need to imagine, we know. See: Richard Nixon

BrolyBlack
He wasn't that smart, he got caught.

Robtard
Even smart crooks get caught sometimes.

He was smart enough to rage-quit out of office and get his crook buddy Ford to blanket pardon him before the axe fell.

Escaped any type of Conviction.

BrolyBlack
What was he trying to accomplish by the DNC break-in, what were they looking for, did we ever find out?

Flyattractor
Win Elections? Cause he was a politician?

The open, documented, corporate conquest of Hawaii by a group of businessmen was a rare look behind the curtain.

As is the conspiracy to recruit a general in a US Coup. Which every major newspaper openly mocked at the time, oddly.

I don't know what the difference is between a hegemony and an oligarchy. Also, there is a large overlap between an Oligarchy and a Corporatocracy as to almost make my point unnecessary but there is enough of a difference (because the set of powerful oligarchs in the US is not a perfect overlap with the set of powerful Corportists) to merit distinguishing the two.

What is really sad is watching Hawaii get turned in to a Socialist Shit Hole by its Democrat Policies now.

It will be better off once Japan takes it over completely.

Probably neuter all the homeless to keep them from breeding.

A hegemony is really an old fashioned colonial empire that uses money and influence rather than force, an oligarchy is more an internal structure to a nation or empire.

In the way the British empire was a colonial monarchy, replace colonial with hegemony and monarchy with oligarchy.
