I used to love Tupac. I still do I guess, though I don't listen to him that much.

The problem is he adopted a gangster persona and tried to live it in real life. He used to be all into drama and acting and ballet and dancing and all that jazz. Then he was in Juice and played a gangster and people responded to it and he adopted the persona even more than he had before, this was while he was making his first album.

He was killed more than likely by crips. Earlier in the day the dude stomped the shit out of a crip in a casino lol. There is video footage of it you can find online. Then he got shot later that night and died a week later. It's a shame.

These are my exact thoughts on Shakur. People keep saying he was "assassinated", but at the end of the day, he got into a fight with Orlando Anderson and the Crips, and they killed him in retaliation, simple as that. It sucks, but he wanted to live that "Thug Life! Live by the gun!" lifestyle, so at the end of the day, you reap what you sow.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I watched a short documentary on this how even "Democrat" black leaders in the community pushed hard for the war on drugs especially crack cocaine and mandatory minimum sentences.


Several things are in common between the GOP and the Dems: they both love their harmful war on drugs, they love their corporations and big business (but dems pretend not to), and they love their wars (but the dems pretend to be peace lovers and peace keepers).


So when people talk about how terrible one party is compared to the other, I don't think their opinion is worth much. They are the same party. Over and over again, Political Science majors from outside the US tell me that they are pretty much the same party from their perspective. It looks especially weird when politicians switch affiliations.

But Dems work very very hard to make it seem like they are sooooo much different than the GOP.

As I say liberals are a bit better than neo libs, who are a bit better than neo cons who are much better than cons generally.

"Conservatives" groups too many under the umbrella. In the UK, I think the Conservatives are much more toxic than in the US. In the US, the most open-minded freedom loving people often get group in with Conservatives: classic liberals (now better defined as a certain type of libertarian).

Also, I agree with you about the lack of empathy among some types of Libertarians. But Libertarians are so diverse that it's hard to group them into one group or another. The only common thread is "maximum personal freedom and autonomy without harming those around you."

Honestly, Obama identifies as black because of black privilege (which is legit and real). He would be considered a racist if he identified, accurately so, as white or biracial. He has more in common, ethnically, with white Americans than African Americans. He came from a white-cultural family. But he used his black heritage to play the identify politics game. It's what Democrats do. It's what politicians do, really.

It's racist to identify as black but actually be biracial. It's racist to identify as any race, really. Humans will eventually get over race.
