It's been common knowledge about him for a long time. He married Aaliyah (which Tzeentch has just alluded to) when she was a teen and that was back in the mid-90's. But it's not about what you know, it's about what you can prove. Glad to see they're finally getting something solid on this guy.

A friend of mine pointed out that you never heard about black child molesters in the media (this was about 20 years ago now.) It's only over the last decade that I've realized that it probably has a lot to do with the fact that black children, depending on their circumstances, would be even less likely than a non-black child to report any kind of sexual abuse due to being disenfranchised by the system or at the very least, are not convinced by the efficacy of the police.

For a while R Kelly got a lot of love in this city from the black community, but they pretty much f*cking hate him now.

I mean white Hollywood didn't exactly disown him either just cause he got accepted in the black community. Every one was basically looking the other way for the most part. That's what I meant with my first post.. times have changed.

I haven't looked into the dates of the r kelly accusations or what the statutes are for where the crimes were committed but hopefully they line up so as to be able to maximize the amount of time he can be put away.
