Absolute batshit that this passed. Hopefully, this doesn't have any outside ripple effect.

You need to understand that making and obeying law are two different things.

It'll work just as "well" as keeping Time Immemorial away from KMC.

Now I just have to wait for ESB-28934712983471348971234 to respond back and state that I didn't prove anything after the thread has died for a few months.

I'm butthurt that no one wanted to talk about this after I put that effort in.

How dare you dummies do this to me.

This is the perfect example of why lobbyists should be banned from filling the heads of legislators with self serving bullshit.

Still it's impressive that old industries like music and film managed to out muscle the new tech giants in getting what they want.

You Can't Post Links Without Asking For Permission.

You Can write or say...

as published by TMG yesterday in TM

or

France24 have the story.

It takes zero effort to just say where you got the story from...

Re: 3rd Party Media Management Tools Having To Ask For Permission before they "Manage" content which isn't theirs...

Nooooooes! but how will people know the news if Google Corp isn't helpfully managing their news feed for them?

It really is not hard to type the name of a news source into an address bar and navigate there to check out their live stream and full length articles for yourself.

If you have a voice assistant you can simply tell your device to get the news for you exactly how you want it.

There are no losers here... other than google and other news "management" operators being cut out as people go straight to the source.

Copyright.

Support Artists By Paying For Their Music And Shows.

If you can't do this... well...

Stiltman said it in one line.

Willingness to pay local taxes is a super power

Btw...

The Law Is Intentionally Vague because Every Country In The EU has had the experience of trying to get a straight answer out of Google Amazon Facebook and Twitter

And trying to get them to pay tax.

There are 3 proven highly effective defensive measures countries can adopt to corral web giants.

That's has become a strangely interesting thread. I don't disagree with anything Shiv has said.
