Would I live in the real world? I'd pick Kryptonian either way, but living in the real world just makes that even more the case.

you are literally comparing the top kryptonian to a low level saiyan right now

Superman should be comparing to vegeta and goku

'Space cheese' is a pretty useless term used in comic discussions because they see portrayals as just as important if not more than feats. Partly because feats can't be consistent with rotating writers.

Manga don't have that problem. Powerscaling is much easier to do.

If you are a moon buster in comics you can be the villain of the month, able to one shot Thor so Tony and Steve can save the day.

If you are a moon buster in dragon ball nowadays, you are considered fodder.


That being said, would still pick kryptonian.

I'm trying to think of the benefits of being a saiyan...

Increased strength and durability and whatnot. You're not born with flight, ki control, any of that. You need to train vigorously.

You age slightly slower. Remain in your prime longer.
Cons:

You have a goddamn tail. And even if you cut it off, you have a gnarly tail stub poking out your tail bone.

If you don't cut it off, you better watch when you go outside because a full moon will release your giant monkey.

Kryptonian:

Speed, strength, durability, mental quickness, space travel, etc.

Cons: unless you're swimming in red giants, nothing. Except the time youd have to take to adapt to your abilities I suppose.

I would pick Kryptonian.

You can also, at any time, if you feel even slightly threatened, go inside the sun for a few minutes and skyrocket tiers .

In the real world, it's even less of a question, given that besides everything a saiyan gives, you'd also have an astronomical level of intelligence, senses, immortality etc.

Superman is super all the time.

Passive invulnerability means never having to worry about getting taken down when I have my guard down.

Kryptonian is my pick under real world circumstances. Essentially all you need to is a yellow sun to access the benefits of being Kryptonian. On the other hand a sayain needs to be pushed physically & mentally under extreme measures & extensive combat & training. Wirh no one that powerful existing in the real world to push me beyond my limits I would never reach my full potential as a saiyan.

The only Saijen that would be worth being is Broly, he doesnt have to do shit and is more powerful than anyone based on how mad he gets, other than that Kryptonian by far.

I wouldn't want to make noises and pull faces like I was having a big shit all the time to get stronger.

Yeah...realistically how often are we going to want to have a near death experience?

Saiyans have higher ceilings, and you can still exist within the normal world. Kryptonians have to hold back everything just to feel anything. Imagine the only pleasure you have is from your own hand, unless you train extremely hard to interact with normal humans. Talking training your dick to not go down after jizzing levels of concentration and beyond. Everything though, not just boner things. Oops you just put your hand through 30 people by accident. Oops you destroyed a building.
It's the whole thing with Citizen Steel but on a worse realistic level.

That being said, space travel is one of my big dreams. Flying around in suns and shit. Seeing everything space has to offer.

Toughy, but I'd go with Kryptonians. Be better if you could be assured of immense self control of powers tbh.

True, but isn't that after training from early childhood into what, nearly middle-aged adulthood? Same for Goku and Vegeta.

Even the more athletic and/or martial arts inclined of us would struggle to summon that kind of dedication.

Supergirl, on the other hand, was busting moons despite being powerless or asleep in space for most of her life. No effort needed.

Even sticking with the cannon fodder of either race, kryptonians look more appealing. Kryptonians can always take a nap in the sun for more juice. A typical Saiyan would have to train for decades for the same effect.

And are we in the real world or in a comic Universe? In a comic Universe, I'll take being born a Saiyan over Kryptonian. In a few years, you'll go from Yamcha level, to kicking Gods in the face. In the real world, Kryptonian would be more fitting.

even if you start as a low level saiyan at let's say Master Roshi level

you are still able to beat 95 percent of below class 100 on DC earth. In real world you be able to rule a country

so you should survive fine

I would rather be Superman than Goku, but I'd rather be a Sayin than an average locked at base level Kryptonian. Sayin's keep growing more powerful with time done in battle. I'd just train to tear down mountains, and before you knew it, I'd be one shot killing base level Kryptonian's. Kryptonian people are dependant on the sun, while Sayin people have no dependencies. This means that in many situations, Sayins are vastly more powerful than Kryptonian people.

Yes, they are. Superman was operating below base Kryptonian level most of his career pre OWAW.

Supergirl was a 16 year old girl and she was above base level Superman, who was taught to suppress his power.

...And not just f*cked because you'd turn into a berserker Great Ape, but also f*cked because one of the other heroes/villains on DC earth would likely have to kill you in order to stop your rampaging.

Kryptonians have hyper senses. The only way Saiyans would amount to anything is if you spend your life fighting. I could probably develop super tech using super speed too and handle most threats indirectly.

ill find a way, this is dc were talking about.. you act like there arent a billion magic or wish granting/reality warping objects out there, ill find a way

if i want any of those abilities ill get them.

I'm also curious how those who are choosing to be a Saiyan plan on achieving these absurd levels of power? What are you going to do to get that powerful -- strap on a weight vest and do some pushups?

Maybe you're planning on one of the heroes or villains on DC earth beating you to the brink of death so you can zenkai? If so, bear in mind that there are no senzu beans here. If someone beats you that severely, you're going to spend the next several months in traction healing said injuries before you can 'train' again. What a shit way to gain power... I'll take just passively absorbing sunlight.

Even with 'generic' Kryptonian powers, one can still fly into orbit. Then without the ozone layer, essentially get a sunamp. Hell, if UV rays are all that's needed, just grab a dozen large mirrors to reflect upon yourself, fly to the North Pole and sunamp in that fashion.

Lol, that's not true at all. There's a reason why the Saiyans constantly need to eat senzu beans or have someone heal them with esoteric powers in order to quickly recover. Their 'healing factors' are about the same as an average human's, tbh.

For example, in the wake of his battle with Vegeta during the Saiyan saga, it would have taken Goku at least 4 MONTHS to heal from the injuries he sustained(and that's with all the advanced Capsule Corp. tech available on DB earth)... And he may not have ever got back to 'normal' again:

So unless you manage to team-up with someone who has the means to rapidly heal you on DC earth, the Saiyan path to power would be a VERY long(and likely painful) road. I would love seeing all our KMC Legendary Super Saiyans train for like 2 weeks and give up realizing how hard it is.

No one here would even last doing the routines of real life professional athletes, but folks expect to train like Goku?

I forgot how ridiculous Krytonians really are. When in doubt, they can just dive into the sun and then shitstomp everyone. Surprised Superman or Supergirl doesn't use that tactic more often.

The answer is obvious Kryptonian. Just having SM lvl Superspeed alone would make you a beast, able to defeat 99% of your foes b4 their synaps can fire. Add Hulk lvl SS and Invulnerabilty and you become a neargod. Lets not forget Healing Factor that lets you heal from any wound in seconds to minutes and a lifespan estimated to be anywhere from 1000 yrs to Imortality as long as there's a yellow sun near you. I won't even go into enhenence senses, genius lvl intelligence and Kryptonian tech that light yrs ahead of anything on Earth.

As for the Sayan abilities while impressive they pale in comparison, and to be honest with your Kryptonian abilities you could easily invent something to give you similar abilities or travel all over the Universe learn MA and duplicate most of them anyway. Finally why in Earth you'd need to, for the most part exect for maybe the EB and turning into a Giant gorilla there's nothing they do you can't easily surpass.

You know what I always wondered about the latter part of DBZ and now DBS? Dendi lives on Earth and they have free access to the guy. So when there's advanced notice about some uber bad guy, why the Hell do they all bother training? Remember when shit was going down on Namek, so Vegeta had Krillin blast him damn near to death and then they had Dendi heal him for quick powerup? Well why don't they just do that shit over and over again? "OMG there's only 2 days till the tournament!"... seems like Dendi could accomplish quite a bit in that amount of time. Hell they could have been at SS3 levels before the Cell games even started.

Toriyama wanted to stop after Frieza but the publisher wanted more is why, and it shows
