And yet this investigation took place in September 2016 and the dossier wasn't released until January 2017.

The dossier has been kicking around for the whole, it was only released to the public when it was given to Trump in a briefing. The investigation started off the dossier.

I did not say everyone. We know they hired a foreign spy to get gossip on Trump from Russians. It's not like at the time they were advertising this, so nothing would have stopped them from reaching out to someone else for gossip.
