Those grants are paltry pennies for those groups. But this is how giant corporations slowly influence politics around them. This is the slow trickle of corruption. These monolithic corporations repeat these same activities with hundreds of even thousands of special organizations to influence politicians.

And we wonder why the average American has "near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy."
