I never started with Trump so I don't have to be done with Trump

Please forgive my attention-whoring thread.

But we need to make it clear that I never supported Trump so I don't need to be done with Trump when he broke his millionth promise.

This same situation happened under Obama but I never had to be done with Obama, as well. Never voted for Obama. smile

What about you? Are you not having to be done with Trump, as well, because you're not an idiot who voted for him? Or did you vote for Trump while holding your nose out of lack of choices?

Tell me bout your Trumpregret or your lack of needing Trumpregret.

I don't have to be done with Trump as I am British and Irish (dual passport). For those of you who aren't sure Britain is the country with the flag Americans use as a fashion item and the hereditary head of state with magic blood you all love.

And despite Brexit and conquering and at one point ruling more of the world than any other people, we are more trusted than the US too.

Ireland is also pretty awesome to be sure.

My regret is more about the situation that makes him the least objectionable realistic option to me.

I luckily have no Trump regrets just an Aleppo sound bite that ruined it for my candidate of choice.

With the current slog of Democrats running I'm afraid Andrew Yang is going to be swallowed by the more well-known candidates. The reason I happen to like Andrew Yang isn't that I agree with all his policies but at least his policies have been spelled out for some time now.

He also seems to have a better grasp of how the USA will change due to advances in technology more then any other candidate.

Yeah, shame on you for being an attention whore. What the Hell's the matter with you?! Shame... on... you!! thumb down no

DDM, you left out an option: 'Misanthropic since childhood: the Trump Phenomenon is just par for the course.'

The funniest part of the poll is "enlightened libertarian", did giggle.

I didn't vote. I never do. I was enjoying the spectacle that is Trump during campaign mode. After he became Pres I got tired of him pretty quickly.

But I really hate Hillary so there really wasn't a snowballs chance in hell at me voting for her. Maybe I will vote this time around, if so it will be against Trump.

But tbh deep down I feel voting is pointless on an individual level so there's also the chance I won't bother. In the unlikely event he wins my state by a single vote then I will regret it. Otherwise like I said it makes no difference what I do.

Such amazing points. Wow. Good stuff!!

I will never regret voting for Trump. I will regret the Dems were too damn stupid to run a proper candidate smile

Robtard
You were always going to vote for Trump, no matter who the Dem nominee was, Surt. Pretending otherwise is funny though.

Thanks for proving my point, Surt. You were always going to vote for Trump and you'll vote for him in 2020, guaranteed**. Why pretend.

**Barring you're physically stopped from doing it.

I do see them as weak and stupid, but no I don't think they'll do a damn thing. The whole "weak and stupid" thing is part of the reason why, I'd imagine smile

I'm mostly kidding, you don't have to be weak and stupid to be a biased little shit. But no I don't think they will ever do a damn thing to you or anything else making up shit without backing it up.

I don't want you banned. I'm just pointing out the sheer hypocrisy. Certain folk can run their mouths with impunity and others can't.

If I wanted you banned I could officially report you. SURELY then you'd get banned.

Lol. Even I couldn't type that shit out without laughing.

I could never get you banned kid. You'd just sock.

And no they absolutely do not give us all the same leeway lol. You and Rob are given way more leeway to make shit up than others.

Surt, you fail to back up your claims with proof more than any other standard account here; you're known for this. The only ones who do this more are the situational sock accounts.

You make claims about specific posters with zero proof kiddo.

Routinely.

You've never once been banned for it lol. Not once.

And hey, if they wanna perma ban me and you and putinbot, cool. At least they'd be f*cking consistent lol.

On the other hand, we can't just have one poster banned for shit others routinely do. Well...we can have that, if the mods are bias.

Robtard
Oh, Surt...

Surtur
I guess it boils down to: why should you be able to make claims with zero consequences, when that has not been the standard for others?

Tbh if you're the kind of person who voted Trump it would make more sense to say you regret the GOP didn't pick a better candidate. Hillary didn't have any of the far left socialist stuff. What kind of Democrat do you like exactly?

Nah, both sides should have picked a better candidate.

Maybe he didn't specifically talk about free college but he's always been a far left socialist. Like do you support things like single payer health care?

To be fair I think most people who vote just vote the party line. You would've voted whoever was the Democrat and he would've voted whoever was Republican, in all likelihood.

I'm curious on this as well, I've only seen Surt shit on Democrats. Maybe he'll enlighten.

Me, I wanted it to come down between Sanders and Kasich, I'd have voted for Sanders but would have been fine with Kasich winning, I don't agree with him on many a thing, but he's overall decent, competent and certainly the best the Reps had running in 2016.

I think this vindicates my statement about voting the party line tbh.

I'm not saying this as a critcism either. It's just a fact that most people know where they stand politically.

Nope. Dead wrong. Trump was the best candidate running on either side in 2016. The GOP didn't pick him; the republican and independent voters did. thumb up

Contrast that with the DNC who cheated the socialist loon Sanders (who had far more votes than Hidabeast) out of the nomination and installed Hillary instead merely because it was "her turn."

And if I could go back in time to 2016 republican primaries I'd still vote for Trump w/out hesitation. thumb up

I know there's some crossover in the populist messages of Trump and Sanders but they are worlds apart politically. The idea of a real leftist voting Trump is about as hard to imagine as a libertarian voting Sanders to me. I don't understand either case.

Bernie would have been a better president than Hillary or Trump. And he's too far out there with his socialist policies. smile

If I could do 2016 over again, I'd still vote for Gary Johnson.
