That is right, they voted to allow Russia to return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, so it seems they are okay with Russia invading other member states. Nearly all of the countries closest to Russia voted no (Sweden, Poland, Baltic nations), and those farthest away like major powers France and Germany voted yes, the UK voted no.

Here's some news articles about it.

Nice to see Putin and Trump bonding today and hating on journos. Amusingly or not it's the first anniversary of that mass journalist shooting in Maryland. Coincidence? Must be, mustn't it?

Wish I could be part of that convo because I think most journalists are terrible partisan hacks.

"Twenty-six journalists have been murdered in Russia since Putin first became president, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), many of them investigative reporters scrutinising governmental abuses." -snip

Clearly a joking matter, well played, Trump.

2 died under Obama (shot at the same time) in the US and 4 died under Trump (all four in the same shooting).

We are doing better than Russia but Russia has a much higher per capita murder rate than the US despite their very strict gun laws.
