So how do you deal with a Nicky Santoro?

You know, Joe Pesci playing his standard character in Casino?

Let's say you've got to work with a guy like that, or simply can't avoid him. You hear stories about him, think he's a ticking timebomb, but he hasn't actually done anything you can call the police on. You face every interaction with the guy just hoping you don't catch him on a bad day, and he doesn't go off on you.

How would you deal with a guy like that?

Wonder Man
Get a job as his Bee keeper. Milk him for sympathy with the scars.

What I did with people like that, or with anyone really that I didn't want to interact with, was make myself as boring and uninvested as possible. That way, they have no reason to stick around because a) you don't contribute anything to the conversation, and b) their ego isn't going to get stroked by you.

It's worked for me so far.

Waiting on a physical copy myself before I jump back on it.

8 was my first FF-and Squall being one of my favorite in the series, hence the name-I fell in love with it. Till this day, I can still play the shit out of the triple triad. That mini was so damn addictive.

Already beat it at least 10X, and I still want more.

I am hoping we get a prequel concerning the war against Adel, with Laguna and co being the main cast.

You take them to a cornfield and you beat them with a baseball bat.

The reviews are mediocre at best though, is it worth the purchase?

I was hoping there would be one, but I doubt we'll see one until they do a proper remake of the game.

Maybe once they see how well VII and the inevitable IX remake do, they'll consider it.

The problem with FFVIII is that it's easily the most divisive game in the series. There are people (like me) who consider it to be top three easily in the Final Fantasy series, and even people who love it above all others, but there are just as many if not more people who consider it the worst Final Fantasy ever made.

Most of this disagreement comes down to the magic/junction system, so if you feel like you're not sure, there's plenty of youtube videos about it.

Oh, it is. I just have to try harder when I'm working as people tend to mistake being competent at your job for being an interesting person. Can't have that.
