I mean, if the system is about checks and balances, what's the check out judicial abuse of power again? A tribunal of judges? So, they're effectively policing themselves, then.

Well,.many of the founders who wrote the constitution did have a background in law.


I've heard it argued from political analysts that they may have had a slight bias for which branch should get the long end of these "checks".
