Which is more powerful? Thanos range attacks or Supermans range attacks. No amplified versions of the characters.

When Superman isn't holding back and at his best then his HV is more powerful Imo. He was one shotting probes with it. It can reach temperatures beyond what man can measure (according to one scan). And man can measure temperatures many times hotter than the core of a star.

Superman freeze has held Bizarro and WW for a certain amount of time.

StiltmanFTW
Shut up.

Ice breath just....makes ice right? I mean, Babe can break out of ice, heralds should break out of it no problem

Superman's heat vision is strong enough to one shot guys in trans power tier like Thanos.

Its off of any scientific scale.

he was able to match Hal/Parrallax blasts with heat vision.

He has been shown to have the power and control to create a localized supernova.

Can't the same thing be said about Galactus' eye beams? What about the cloned Galactus Thanosi's energy attack? IMO Thanos has proven that he is above the Trans tier with his performances against Galactus, Tyrant, Phoenix Thane and Odin alone. Until recently Thanos should have been ranked as a Sky Father, and hasn't been Trans since the 70's, unless we count his weakened forms.

On another note, Superman is as powerful as he needs to be at any given time. It almost goes against logic to claim that Superman would lose to anyone below God.

It makes shit cold, that means it makes the surrounding air cold enough to freeze iinto ice (what temperature does nitrogen becomes a solid?) as well as the adversary. The reason I say this is because there is not enough water vapor that surrounds a person to make a block of ice around them.

I also learned that the durability of ice is dependent on its temperature. For example, the ice on Uranus is so cold that it is stronger than steel.
Temperature of ice can range from the freezing point to absolute 0.

So either Superman is freezing nitrogen to a solid (unbelievable cold) or he is freezing the water vapor so cold that it holds class 100 beings (this does not contradict freezing nitrogen).

It all depends on the difference in power of a trans and skyfather.
A trans could have similar performances against against those you name in comics. Hell, some Heralds have multiple good performances against sky father level beings and higher (Thor for example).

You are ignoring the chemical composition of the ice as well, though.

Solid nitrogen only has a ultimate strength of 0.24MPa, rising to 0.5Mpa the colder you get (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_nitrogen#Bulk_properties)

That's pretty low (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressive_strength)

No doubt that ice gets stronger the colder it gets, but there is a limit to it. Especially since there is no methane etc, it's just H20/oxygen/nitrogen etc.

Well, we saw that it worked just fine when Prime used it against Supes in LO3W.

I have to agree with you on this. Good job!
So maybe Superman freezes the hell out of their flesh, increasing its durability and making it stiff?

Ice breath actually has some really good feats.

In the New Krypton story line, Nightwing and Flamebird froze ocean water to contain rogue Kryptonians.

And even more impressively, Superman froze magma to indefinitely imprison none other then Bizarro Superman, when he was said to be even stronger then Supes.
