Yep, I must agree with the others. Kanan could stand his ground for a minute or so, but he would be crushed just as easily as Obi-Wan was in TPM.
Maul is simply too overwhelming a duelist, take Grand Inquisitor in his first few fights with Kanan, he made short work of him too and GI is well below Maul's level.
