Adam Strange is pretty quick on the draw, far more skilled, and some versions have a mini Zeta beam.

Can't really see how any pre flashpoint version of Comet looses. I still havent caught nu52 comet so cant comment.

Classic wouldnt even be phased by Adam's weqppns. Post resurection (mystery in space) can just port out of the way of his blasta and then mind whammy (which got a huge upgrade in hoth ability and willingness to completwly wreck a mind)
