If you've been conflating "rhinovirus" with "common cold", stop. HRV is the usual suspect of the common cold, but that's not its only handiwork. The common cold can--CAN-- lead to an ARI in the upper respiratory tract, especially in the very young and old and those with compromised immune systems especially if it involves the lungs. And of course it's going to be worse in developing countries. The paper and article talk about that, they do not talk of the common cold.

Colds are not synonymous with ARIs. If a cold leads to an ARI, then it's a cause. Your own damn links say as much; They define an ARI as "Acute respiratory infections (ARIs), a disease group that includes pneumonia, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)" one of which is influenza, which is not a goddamned cold.

ARIs: acute (which the cold is not) illnesses of the respiratory tract such as pneumonia, influenza, etc.

Pneumonia is typically bacterial in origin, influenza is a separate virus group than the cold's. Rhinovirus (one of the causes of cold, but not all) can ALSO cause ARIs or cause a cold to progress to an ARI, which is much worse.

Common cold: collection of symptoms caused by over 200 different types of viruses, rimarily human rhinovirus.
ARIs: acute (which the cold is not) illnesses of the respiratory tract such as pneumonia, influenza, etc.

Pneumonia is typically bacterial in origin, influenza is a separate virus group than the cold's. Rhinovirus (one of the causes of cold, but not all) can ALSO cause ARIs or cause a cold to progress to an ARI, which is much worse.

ARI Institute has article after article about colds and how deadly they are (causing ARIs, duh!) and has concluded that 4 million + people die from them each year. CDC says 2 million children. Almost all of them originating from colds. <- A position supported over and over again with you never once disputing that in any legimate way.

Jesus probably looked similar to a stereotype Middle-Easterner. Darker skin, curly hair that would have been dark until it turned grey and/or white.

Then again, no one knows who Jesus' biological father was. Maybe his mother was impregnated by a foreigner instead of a Judea man from her town and that could have affected his looks. eg if his biological father was a Roman soldier maybe his skin was lighter, or trader from sub-Saharan Africa making him darker.
