What an amazing looking animal

It looks like an animal from Pliocene or the Miocene epochs.

Very cool looking animal. Shame it was hunted to extinction.

This video has been out for a long time, I've seen it multiple times over the years. iirc, it's in The Hunter (2012), with William Defoe, at the credits.

I hope they aren't truly extinct. There have been sightings over the decades. So there is hope somewhere in Australia there are a few left.

And the last one in captivity died of neglect.
