Trump is not interested in a special relationship, he's interested in getting a good, profitable deal for himself, his friends and cronies, American companies and the US as a whole (in that order)...

The UK is misguided if it sees its economic salvation in working with the US, they are situated right next to the EU and the EU will be the most meaningful and influential partner to them as long as it exists.

I agree totally, our Economic salvation was being one of the most powerful nations in the EU... The UK is financially fooked.
