Silver Age Lex Luthor with prep vs Dr Doom with prep

DarkSaint85
SA Luthor made a time machine out of orange juice and nails etc iirc.

But then, if we went that far back Doom probably had shenanigans as well.

cdtm
He has shenanigans.

Nothing quite that blatantly shenanigans, far as I can recall. I mean, Doom was kind of the mountain on CBR, and they never posted anything like that Lex time machine from citrus, paper towel tube, and random office paraphernalia.

He always needed tech for most of his cheese.

meep-meep
Silver age DC was loony tunes. Not much tops that. Not even Doom.

And he did it in a jail cell if I remember correctly.

thumb up

SA DC was mental.

DarkSaint85
Yeah.

Just be aware - this was the kind of enemy the DC heroes had to face and defeat every week.

So when (if?) DC makes EVERYTHING canon, all these feats are going to be admissible for use in Vs fights.

meep-meep
If DC created a storyline that brought back all silver age characters and the feats that come with them....That would be amazing.

It could make for an interesting plotline if they did.

DarkSaint85
You guys haven't seen the rumblings?

Props to Phil for sending this to me. Figured it was worth a repost here:

"Right now, the way Perpetua and the Batman Who Laughs function in the story is that the heroes learn that Crises past have contorted the timeline and the DC timeline was been twisted by these Crises; almost knotted at certain moments and caused us to forget certain stories and caused us to start over at different times, to feel twisted and separated from our own past and future. And Doctor Manhattan, in Doomsday Clock, tried to right that aspect of our timeline but, for some reason, it didn't fully take effect. And so the heroes are looking for a bigger way to unite the DCU in a single storyline that links everyone and tells the ways that we're all connected and part of one community.

The feeling that we wanted is that if you're a longtime DC fan, it rewards you for all your years of dedication from the characters and all the stories told back in the '30s to the '70s to the more recent great stories like Doomsday Clock. And if you've been reading our stories, it definitely rewards you there from all those stories you mentioned."

it's never gonna happen, we can only dream

I'll take the glass is half full approach, and say heck yeah. That will be great if that comes to fruition.
