It should be good news. But I would prefer we eliminate the EC and replace it with Rank Choice Voting.

Ranked choice voting would be a fantastic improvement in the US system.

An additional improvement would also be some form of proportional representation, so that small parties could have influence, even if they are unable to win any single election outright. A hybrid system may be he best in that case.

Mail-in voting isn't illegal, in many areas it might be the only way an American can vote. eg Trump mailed in his vote when he voted in Florida (his new legal residence)

You just don't like it because the more people allowed to vote, the worse it is for Republicans generally speaking. More voter turn out is a great thing, it's an all American thing

As far as I know, no one is against all mail-in voting. Just massive mail-in voting which us why I specifically mentioned that. Of course people that have a legitimate reason for not being able to vote in person has every right to mail-in their votes.

People will say that Covid is a "legitimate reason" but nope, it's not.

And having that BS excuse available is just more evidence for what I already knew: that this virus was intentionally released onto the public in an attempt to severely hurt Trump's chances in 2020 or even try to get him to resign before the election even happens.

-Debates are scheduled to proceed. There's no reason Trump and Biden can't be 20 feet apart behind a plexiglass shield with no audience if need be, aside from the moderators.

Ranked choice is better, if it is pulled off correctly. but both would be a vast improvement over the current system. There are many more problems though, a lot of them having to do with barriers for voting, there should be policies to ensure that as many people vote as possible, that means things like automatic registration, low barrier of id (many more people are disenfranchised by high ID barriers than would ever commit fraud, which is of course illegal regardless), making election days a public holiday, allowing mail in voting, and potentially also internet based voting (although we have to be careful, it can be done safe and fair, but it can also go very wrong and be abused, when it comes to voting it may be prudent to be particularly conservative, to ensure there's no cheating or disenfranchisement happening)
