Shazam was so much stronger in the comics

Shazam is a lot faster. Even if speed was equalized, Shazam can take multiple hits from Cap with no big issues. A few hits from Shazam should ko Cap.

I'll side with Shazam, speed and strength and durability in spades on Cap. Cap is a far better fighter and could maybe take him down if Billy clowns around, but no way if he utilizes his wisdom of Solomon and fights even semi-competently as shown in the finale against Sivana.
