You know how you hear stories about parents who call their children and tell unwanted stories about bowel movements or gross medical issues?

Well, my mom called me today and casually told me that my dad got a prescription for Viagra. Dad is 69 and is in reasonable health for his age, but now he needs a pill to have sex, according to my mom.

Dad got on the phone and was surprisingly casual about said issue.

"Yeah, well, I knew I'd get there someday, Nothing's changed except now I need a pill to f*ck your mom."

"JESUS CHRIST, DAD!"

*dad laughing*

I'm 41 and my dick still works, but it's not like back when I was 18 and could jerk off three times a day and shoot a wad two feet in the air.

Dicks have a shelf life, unfortunately, and some guys will have to reach that plateau, eventually.

What about you guys? Will you seek assistance from medicine if/when your time comes, or will you go gracefully and retire from erections?

i would not seek medication, but i would be very concerned; and not for the sake of sex or a good wank, but rather because cocks tend to not go bad, and they don't expire. there are however many other things which can cause your cock to function poorly, and most of them deserve attention on their own. so I'd be too busy investigating why my cock stopped working rather than use a pharmaceutical bandaid.

also remember that old people often just simply stop liking or even giving a shit about sex. it's not uncommon

I masturbate a lot less than I used to. Porn's gotten boring, it's no where near as good as real sex (and I have some disturbing memories that really put me off), but the main reason is when I tried nofap, it was obvious that masturbating really does lower your sex drive. I could never last the 90 days, or even 2 weeks for that matter, but the powerful erections and heavy balls were a big bonus. I found myself just playing with my genitalia (helicopter dick, bouncing balls etc.)

As for sex, as hard as it may be, if sex is on the cards, don't masturbate. You'll enjoy the sex much better.

If I get to an age where my dick stopped working and I wanted to have sex and a pill allowed that and there wasn't some other permanent fix? Absolutely.

On the radio while driving in the mornings, I keep hearing about some men's clinic that specializes in ultrasound therapy for impotence, it claims that the main cause for it is plaque buildup on the blood vessels to the penis. No idea if this is true, but maybe have your dad as his doctor.

Having got to my 50's and fathered my third family. I think it is unlikely my dick will stop working, also this pistol doesn't fire blanks, so I'd be pretty useless on a film set.

I have experimented with erectile dysfunction medication for performance enhancement, and it is an enjoyable novelty.

But if I started experiencing erectile dysfunction, I would seek to diagnose and address the underlying cause first. As far as treatments are concerned, I would prefer ultrasound to medication, and medication to implantation.

I had to take anaphrodisiac medication, so I could heal properly from a urological surgery, and having no sexual desire was strange. I was more calm and relaxed, but I was also more bored.

I did not realize how much of my time was occupied by the thought and pursuit of sex. It might be different if your desire tapers off over time instead of imeediately overnight, but I did not care for it.

I'll be dead from heart disease and diabetes long before I encounter this issue.

when i was in my 20s i experimented with cialis during a trip to vegas. i didnt need to, but i wanted to.

in my ignorance, i popped 2 pills consecutively. everything was fine until i took a shower in my hotel room. when the water caressed my skin, i unlocked an erection that persisted for something like 8 hours. i fapped ad nauseam, but that only gave temporary relief at best.. i actually started getting worried that i'd have to go to the f*cking hospital to have the blood in my dick drained or some shit. it was pretty terrible honestly.

That should work. stick out tongue

If you do not have erectile dysfunction, and are taking the medication recreationally, then you should only take a half-dose, not a double-dose. Especially, sildenafil, which lasts 36 hours.

Furthermore, you are supposed to immediately seek medical attention if you have erections that persist for four hours or more, because it can lead to irreversible damage to the blood vessells, resulting in impotence.

I would not even wait that long, because priapism is not a life-threatening condition, so emergency rooms will not prioritize your treatment, and time is the one thing you do not have. Not to mention, that the longer you wait, the more invasive the treatment.
