why isn't Sentry used more by marvel? he's almost as cool as Thor, he has so much potential that's being wasted

You can't really compare the Sentry to Superman other than the fact that all super heros are based upon the Superman concept. The Sentry is an autonomous puppet which is closer to an Orange Lantern construct, albeit more complex. The Sentry is as powerful as Robert Reynolds imagines it/him to be. However, because Robert has a damaged amygdala, the Sentry varies in power. Superman on the other hand is as powerful as the plot needs him to be.

The Plutonian is infinitely more interesting as a parody character. It's not even close.

Sentry is basically a 70's hairband reject that gets handed all of God's powers, for no reason.
