Stoic
Which of them is more well rounded stat-wise?

1. Strength
2. Durability
3. Travel speed, combat speed, reaction speed
4. Powerful (Who has more powers)
5. Resistant (Heat, cold, toxins, energy, telepathy, magic)

lawest9
Strength-Glads
Durability-equal
Speed-travel (Glads) combat and reaction -Diana
Powerful-Glads
Resistance- basically a draw but edge to Diana due to her divine nature.

I agree with this

Booya_69
Equal in durability?

DarkSaint85
And resistance? Especially against telepathy? On one hand you have Glads, who literally wets his pants against TPs, and OTOH....WW who routinely fights telepaths like Dr Psycho.

I'm factoring in her bracers.

I'm curious, is that Gladiator's only showing against telepathy you're aware of?

DarkSaint85
There's also his recent one against the Fatal Five analogues.

So 0-2 that you're aware of?

DarkSaint85
Completely off the top of my head, without bothering to think too much on it, yeah. Am sure there are others, but right now, not too bothered.

To be fair now, Nova is really f*cking uber and would solo the entirety of DC... stick out tongue

Unless you have some other examples in mind, of course.

We use the latest versions, dood.

Think Kallark cheated on his Strontian "confidence exam" which qualified him for the Gladiator super-soldier treatment...

Juntai
Jesus.

Booya_69
He was also crippled helpless by evil chuck..also by rachel grey

Smh.

And it's confirmed strontians are really vulnerable to magic.

Note two further things:

1. Gladiator is bloodlusted there (make them pay!!)

2. His HV goes all the way up to 1000degrees K. A wood fire burns at 1170 degrees, a halogen lamp at 2900. I can exceed a bloodlusted Gladiator's HV just by reading comics at night.

Dunno, but he's not in the thread.

1. Don't get this "For Fang" thing. Isn't he, like, immortal? And last time I checked, Mystique was the one who f*cked him up beyond his ability to regenerate, not some new villains. Unless it's happening before Wolverines series, of course. And let's be honest, Imperial Guard dies and gets replaced more often than Batman throws a batarang. Oh my God, they killed Kenny. Bastards.

2. Marvel sucks at calculations (just like h1), but perhaps this was the temperature of his own body, final result after the attack --- factoring in those heat sinks he just mentioned. Now that would make sense.

carver9
1000 degrees? 🤦🏿

StiltmanFTW
Again, the number makes sense if he's measuring his own temperature.

Like a laptop with a cooling pad.

It's current, i.e. Storm is Regent of Mars etc. So it's as current as can be.

Perhaps. But more likely, the writer didn't give a sh!t, and just wanted to make Carver cry.

Not to derail, but you can argue it's the opposite of Absolute Zero since he's used HV to match that. Or potentially higher. How hot is that? Nobody knows, theories vary, to even being the same temperature as absolute zero, because **** explaining things.

Did a tiiiny bit of digging, Delta - a Skrull casually took over his mind (that's obv not Xavier):

Then there is his showing against Annihilus, though he overcame his fear.

thumb up

So, Fang either survived or got cloned again. Or something else happened in between.

Making a f*cking tradition of him losing all of his confidence from a short telepathic assault is worse, imo.

Something much harder to explain is Rhodey helping Stark modify the suit, so he could punch through Graphene Korvac. Calculations there were off, too.

Only skimmed through it, so I could hope the armor was severely damaged or malfunctioning in some other way and they struggled to make it operational...

But even then, punching through graphene would take less than 1% of the effort it took to punch through Cardiac's dome, an earlier feat from the series... facepalm Not to mention assraping Terrax.

Is this a Skrull mimicking Xavier's powers or just Skrull hypnosis but he's posing as Charles?

War Skrull, so mimicking his powers.

So how good of a job would he be at replicating it? Meaning, how bad is it for Gladiator?

DarkSaint85
Depends, right? On what stance you wish to take.

For example, Deadpool during Secret Invasion was soloing entire armies of Skrulls, all with powers, lol. BP was taking out Skrulls with combos of Bullseye and Iron Fist etc.

I guess it's if you want to go with the Skrulls suck at duplicating, or some people argue cannon fodder.
