First off, let's assume every character from the first one is returning (except for Dante who is replaced by DMC5 Dante, and also Kratos from GOW3 is replaced by Kratos in the most recent God of War.)

I have a few ideas in mind on who could be added though:

Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
Spyro the Dragon
A Patapon (preferably a Hero Patapon from 2 & 3, but any would be cool.)

If Phil actually cares about it and Banjo joining Smash wasn't a happy accident, he'll understand how important Crash is to PlayStation fans and let the bandicoot join in their mascot brawler. The only problem left would be PlayStation itself.

And if they were to continue it being a platform fighter, changing Kratos' arsenal to shield & axe would be the sanest choice. The blades of chaos in that format are broken.

Wander and Ico are not from the same franchise, though. Yes they are, Shadow of the Colossus and Ico take place in the same world. SoTC is a prequel to Ico.

They don't even feature the same characters. They likely do take place in the same world but that doesn't mean that they're the same series.
