President Joe Biden has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, calling her "one of the nation's brightest legal minds".

We the Judges of the Supreme Court, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Law to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this appointment to the Supreme Court.

In other words, a black judge's work only counts as 3/5ths.
