Anyway, both are in-character, and Mxy is just trying to prank/annoy Batman, not hurt or kill him. Batman wins if he can trick him into saying his name backwards.

However, in order to make it more of a challenge, beforehand Mxy erases all of Batman's knowledge of Mxy and the 5th dimension, so Batman doesn't know his weakness and has to figure it out for himself. He also can't contact Superman or anyone else to find out the weakness.

It's Batman, so I'm sure he'd figure it out eventually.

But with no knowledge of Imps and/or the 5th dimension, it'd probably take him quite a while... Unless, of course, Mxy himself 'slips up' and mentions the weakness himself.

Mxy always messes it up.. Batman after a while

So what's the losing condition? Dying of old age?

It's too arbitrary to figure out. The condition might as well be to get Mxy to read the 153rd page of Lord of the Rings aloud.

Unless Batman is told what it is he has to do won't have a chance. Even then he has to get Mxy to say it, which relies on Mxy being stupid.

That's the thing. In a comic Batman would eventually win. But given the circumstances, he shouldn't.

Mxy would win, until he gets bored and starts leaving clues for Batman to win.

Mxy is almost always stupid with his toys. He only ever loses to Clark because he actually tells him how to beat him.

Normally, Mxy just wipes Batman out of the universe. But knowing his character, he rarely would do that, honestly.
