Assuming they were equal in durability. How many hits to damage the face shield and make it disappear?

A single shot from an amped Mjolnir strike or a power gem punch. The rest will probably need a few more hits but still less than 5.

The answer depends on which portrayal do you want to use. The faceshields varied in durability based off the story. At it's strongest it shrugged off Superman's haymakers like nothing.

People are going to use the best showings for both cases (Thor's best lightning feats for example)

It's impossible to actually average (as in mathematical) feats. Everyone (who is bias to some degree) will get a different take.

Hela grabs zod and faora in each hand and crushes the skull.

Godzillas Kodiak slap he gave Ghidorah or Kong would probably outright kill Faora. Just thought I would throw that out there.
