What the hell is wrong with you people? Party poopers.
This needs to happen.
They don't make movies like Con Air anymore and they should.

Con Air is one of the worst movies ever made and not in the good way, either.
Just all around bad acting, writing, and painfully droll and not entertaining.

Con Air is not a good movie, but it's a fun guilty pleasure of mine.
But a part 2 after so long and with Nick Cage being so old? Nah.

Basically this.
Also IIRC this film made me stop laughing at the idea of Cage playing Superman (because that was a thing back then).

The Nic Cage Superman would have been absurdly marvelous.

I like to imagine that in some parallel, but slightly different reality to ours, the film happened and my parallel self enjoyed it.

Yup.
Also take his portrayal in The Rock at the time, and he could have nailed playing Clark Kent as well!

Con Air is a masterpiece, released the same Summer as Air Force One. My mom took my brother and I to go see them both. Great year for terrorist plane movies with great antagonists (Gary Oldman and John Malkovich two thumbs way up). Sequel? I'd never expect it, but would watch it.
