...do you think you could also "dream"? There have been tests done that show you do indeed preserve a consciousness after death.
It's a nice thought to the alternative: Absolutely nothing. As in forever sleep. Depressing as ****.
If I could have nice dreams about family that'd be cool.

I don't think you go to sleep when you die, your brain stops functioning, no electrical signals and therefore there's no dreaming.
Now if there's an afterlife of some manner where your consciousness somehow leaves your dead body and goes somewhere and functions on some level, I have no idea, it's a nice thought though.

Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Death is, in fact, not sleep.

Death is the cessation of critical processes leading to a complete and irreversible halt to all functions both physiological and cellular. In two words, death is, "the end".

Philosophically speaking there are 2 deaths. The first one is when you physically can't breathe or move because your heart stops and your brain shuts down, but the other is when no other human ever utters your name or talks about you again.
That's why famous people like Einstein and Newton are not dead. They exist within our consciousnesses.

That's why famous people like Einstein and Newton are not dead. They exist within our consciousnesses. but only as names and achievements, not as people with personally known and perfectly copied personalities. These memories are just artifacts.

Sometimes he feels embarrassment because of his threads and begs mods to delete them.
Little he knows that we always archive them via the WayBackMachine site.

Wait, wait, wait.
