there's something of an anime aspect to rocky movies, and it's silly in a fun way. i think creed's power level is beyond that of rocky in rocky 3, pretty much on par with rocky 4 non-coincidentally

I still don't think Adonis is anywhere even approaching any Rocky as of IV though, dude fought the world champion at the time as an old man (60 years old) and went the distance, almost winning in Rocky 6.

ivan might have a height and reach advantage, but other than that, I'm not convinced that he was far superior to his son, though I'll grant that he was the better fighter (not by much) in his prime based on his epic beating from rocky. but that's really not a fair basis to use imo

If Doni can keep himself out of Clubber'd reach he might be able to wear him down. If Lang catches him its lights out.

Donnie is was more crisp with his skills than Rocky or even Apollo were in their day. He also has good damage soak; not on Rocks level of course but it pretty good as evidenced in his rematch with Viktor so even if Lang gets a few good ones in he won't be able to last, guys got zero stamina as seen in the rematch with Rocky.

Skills, Stamina, Damage Soak all go to Adonis here. He drops Clubber with ease.

Clubbers damage soak was beyond Rocky's. He can eat punches with 0 effect as long as he wasn't gased out.
I don't see Doni really hurting Lang at all. Doni would need to survive and let Lang gas out. Assuming a fair fight (Donnie hasn't seen the Rocky vs Lang fight) then Lang wins.

But if Donnie knows about that fight then he wins by employing the same strategy.

Adonis is above Rocky 3, even in his current older/broken form. So after a nice 5 minute montage of training, Adonis enters the ring and defeats Lang in round 3.

Rocky wasn't beating Clubber without that strategy. Lang's durability lied in his stamina. Rocky was a harder puncher than Adonis. Rocky punches had 0 effect on Lang until Lang got tired enough.

If Adonis goes into this fight as normal then he loses in a few rounds. But if he employs the same strategy Rocky did then he has a good chance to win.

Adonis went life and death with a guy who spent most of his adult life in prison and never learned how to box professionally. Remember when Tyson went to prison for just 3 years? He was never the same even though he was already trained and was a world champion before. Dame has no feats besides beating another featless boxer who looked like he was two weight classes below him.

Wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong. Rocky's punches absolutely had some effect on Lang, how else do you think Lang was eventually KO.d.

Do you know how boxing works? How Boxing Works: You land punches on your opponent and they have a cumulative effect, wearing your opponent down. Not every fight is won by a single blow KO, in fact, 99.999~% of boxing matches do not end this way.

Adonis would beat Rocky 3. The Adonis in this fight has taken hits from Viktor Drago, it's very likely Lang's punches will have little effect and won't matter much considering Adonis is taking Lang out in round 3, or sooner.

They had 0 effect UNTIL Lang was being gased. You need to watch the movie.

Adonis is not beating Lang unless he sits there and blocks and gets Lang to tire himself out.

What are Victor Drago's feats? Rocky took many hits from Lang in the 2nd fight.
