Just the other day one of my favorite video game writers, Chris Avellone, had a sexual assault case against him dismissed with prejudice. Not only that but his accusers released a statement clearing Avellone of all wrong doing and were forced to pay him some 7 figure settlement fee. And yet, despite clearing being free of wrongdoing, it's too late for Avellone as his career and reputation have already been destroyed by these false accusations.

Essentially what I'm saying is we don't have nearly enough to say whether Majors is guilty or not. And it isn't for us to condemn a potentially innocent man. But if she does have wounds as reported, it doesn't sound good.

Kazenji
Knowing Disney these days they will remove him from the role, Instead of waiting for the truth to come as they should be doing.

Been seeing alot of stupid posts on social media, Folks trying to put Jonathan Majors on the same level as Ezra Miller.

Ridley_Prime
Probably vindictive DCEU fanboys trying to prove a point. "See? MCU has someone bad over there too!".

On that same token, if Johnathan played in a recent DC film, some Marvel fans would be as quick to throw him under the bus.

Ezra wouldn't be the first or last time someone at Hollywood got away with something awful, regardless.

a flimsy point at that. Unlike Miller.. Jonathan Majors hasn't got a page full of incidents.

That can't be true. People on social media are all perfectly level-headed and not reactionary at all. They always gather and scrutinise the full facts before posting well thought out, substantive and objectively unbiased posts.

Unlikely. This entire phase is built around his shitty version of Kang.

Was prolly trainin for Creed IV.

Stilt and DisneyWalker are racing to see who gets their brown eye poked by Majors first.

Ridley_Prime
Jonathan Majors seems to be innocent from what has been said/shown.

Would be something to see his version of Kang time travel to ancient Egypt to try and adopt a young Apocalypse only for it to backfire like in the comics.. Imagine if that was how they brought Poccy into the MCU.

Highly likely, Wouldn't be the first time Disney has done a kneejerk reaction to someone's incident and firing them before the truth is revealed.

^^^Thats what happened to Oswald.

Robtard
If she has wounds and she's recanting her story, then something is definitely not right here.

Let the police investigate and see.

MCU will be fine, at worst they'll just recast Kang.

Ridley_Prime
Of course. At least there will be that it worse comes to worst, but Barry Allen cannot and will not be recast because WB lacks the ethics/principles to do so.

Robtard
Probably comes down to $$$ and the optics of firing a mentally ill person, which comes back to $$$.

So I guess they couldnt recast Kang after all. erm I know initially giving Majors the benefit of a doubt aged poorly, but damn, Kang deserved better than to be moved on from prematurely, which put the MCU in an awkward position after all they had planned with him.

riv6672

Ridley_Prime
Edward Norton was a Hulk nut on top of that. More knowledgeable of the character and comic history than most people on the planet, and he made a lot of creative corrections to the 2008 film because of it. I just got the impression that Disney didnt like the idea of having someone that passionate about the character they play, so they replaced him with Mark Ruffalo. Norton was the perfect Banner/Hulk through and through though.

Can probably blame the lukewarm reception to the 2003 Hulk for the 2008 one not doing as well as it couldve. 2003 was a guilty pleasure standalone, but prolly shouldnt of happened for the betterment of Hulk in the long run.

Still, I wouldve thought theyd just recast Kang if nothing else. He deserves better than to be prematurely moved on from, but fair enough.

TheVaultDweller
Well, either by luck or by design, they did leave themselves an out regarding Kang during the epilogue of the Loki S2 finale.

There's a scene at the end where TVA members are discussing Kang variants and references the one who got defeated in Quantumania but also remarks that none of the other Kangs are aware of the TVA and that they're essentially under control for the moment.

Another person currently like that is Ms Marvel herself Iman Vellani, A while back she called out Kevin Fiege on the MCU's universe designation.

StiltmanFTW
And the Russos, of course.

What's all this revisionist history regarding Edward Norton and The Incredible Hulk?

Norton was a major land for the role, but he's become the new Dustin Hoffman, the antagonistic method actor a-hole who can't work well with others. He basically got himself kicked out of the MCU with his un-team like behaviour, and his film was always just meh to begin with.

Hell, let's be honest. Ang Lee's Hulk with Eric Bana was better.

Norton was bland as **** and is suffering from some serious delusions of grandeur.

I see. Can't say I'm surprised.

And 2008 film already had too many Banner scenes as it was.

In a vacuum I did like 2003 Hulk better which I got lambasted by MCU fans for expressing before, particularly the villain who I found was more interesting than Abomination. Nick Nolte driving his son crazy was in a way amusing. Didnt stop me from giving credit where it was due though with Norton and his knowledge of Hulk, though didnt know about those other things with him, so eh, can see more now why he got fired. Delusions of grandeur indeed.

Apart from what I already said, also didnt help that 2008 Hulk came out the same year as The Dark Knight. Regardless of opinions on the Nolan films, Batman is a much bigger name than Hulk, so really didnt help.

StiltmanFTW
It just wasn't a good movie to begin with, to be brutally honest.

I had no idea Norton was a fan. But being a fan of the character is not enough in some cases and it certainly wasn't enough in TIH.

Edward Norton might have had the closest resemblance to Bruce Banner, but the Mark Ruffalo Hulk most closely resembles the comics Hulk. That's one way I differentiate them. The comics always cheat in this way, where Banner and Hulk have different faces and shapes of head. But the movies have always given Hulk the same face as the actor, which I think is better.

Majors is a degenerate and a complete fool, he had easy millions in Marvel money coming his way for the next 5-10 years, now his whole career is over with.

No studio will sign him after Disney dropped his ass, except for maybe Ben Shaprio's crappy one.

Oh yeah, The Daily Wire would LOVE to hire him if he's willing to shill and grift for the Right-Wing propaganda machine. Especially since he's black, like Candace Owens who grifts for them. They love that. I'm surprised they haven't hired Kanye West yet.. probably because he's too blunt with his racism. Goes far beyond the dog whistle.. heh

Robtard
The good thing about the endless multiverse, they can recast Majors with any actor and explain the physical changes away, if they pick a non Black man.

Personalty, I'd just go with someone like Chiwetel Ejiofor, looks the part and is a better actor.

Just move on from Kang. He's not interesting and he lost to freakin Ant-Man. He's not a threat. The argument is that even when you defeat one Kang (in the MCU), there is another one waiting in the wings... But that doesn't make him some big dangerous foe, it just makes him into a series of goons. That's not at all compelling. Plus Loki basically felt like it resolved that whole Kang storyline.

I woudn't mind and Majors getting axed would be an easy out, but I think they've already built the storylines around Kang as is.

Galactus would be the proper threat level after Thanos.

Patient_Leech
I mean, it might work out for the best for Marvel, because he wasn't very good anyway, so maybe they'll come up with something better.

You know, necessity is the mother of invention...

They waited as long as possible to pull the plug on Majors; after his case was over in hopes he was innocent or something, but Disney pulled the plug on Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and whatnot long before the verdict with his case was reached. smh
