Ok, her dream was a long shot. She wasn't very talented relative to the pool. She only got in because she kept from crashing.

Come on, NBC! I"m surprised she didn't sue them for defamation, this isn't Jordan Belfort the Wolf of Wall Street, it's someone who legitimately earned her place through hard work and a lot of luck. That doesn't make what she did a "con".

The thing is, nothing here proves she "scammed" anything.


The writet is trying to act like she didn't deserve to be there and knew it but stacked the deck in her favor. That isn't what happened at all.

She reasoned her best shot is perfection, not crashing, over fancy routines. That's a viable strategy and it's hard to pull off.


Like that time in Horse when I beat a friend by picking the easiest spot in front of the net becauss I assumed he'd **** uo through the repetition. And he DID. Does that make it a scam?

NO.

And I mean not messing up is far from doing the bare mininum. Showing up and doing the routines, going to another country to get a shot at it, she definitely put in work. "Bare minimum" is subjective here, her objective isn't to wow anyone, it's to win a spot. Nothing wrong in what she did.


Again, Rudy. If she's a scam artist so is he (I mean outside of the penny stocks scamming), his untalented ass was a spot someone better could have been in, who had an actual chance at the pros.

Those people have actual talent, they've trained their asses off their entire lives for a chance at this, it's a massive insult to even consider her as anything other than a permanent bench warmer.

Tbh nothing wrong in what you said either, there ARE more talented and deserving of her spot.

As for the training, we don't really know if she trained like they do. Maybe she did, couldn't hack it, and was in too deep to just quit.

I know if I trained my whlle life I'd try and at least go as far as I could, public perception be damned.
