Which of these character can match Ikaris speed and durability in this showing. He made it to the sun in seconds. He withstood the sun for a prolong amount of time. Who can match it?
EoIbZJH2ajE?si=ihv7ZEnLKtmYDfm8
Superman
Thor
Wonder Woman
Darkseid
Vision
Phoenix
Thinkerer
Superman, Darkseid and Phoenix could probably do it. Thor maybe, I dunno.
Darth Thor
I had Zero recollection of him going into the Sun.
Im now thinking it may be time to actually rewatch Eternals.

He was so ashamed of betraying the Eternals to keep Arishem's plans on track and killing Ajak that he flew into the Sun as penance.

This is Justice League Superman.

What showings are you using that made you come up with these answers?

Screen time with cut scenes =/= real time necessarily.
It could have taken him minutes to reach the Sun.
In the final scene he's moving far below the speed of light before he enters the Sun. It's not certain how long it took So that part is disqualified from the thread.
The surface of the Sun is about 5600 degrees Celsius. Ikaris was show to last maybe 5 seconds?
Kryptonian's HV has sliced through steel I-beams with a swipe.
Based off Newton's Law of cooling the temperature of the HV has to be many times hotter than the boiling point of steel in order to melt steel that fast (almost instantly). Kryptonians were shown to withstand such HV without too much damage (it did hurt them though). So Superman can definitely withstand the surface of the sun for 5 seconds. Hell it would make him more powerful (more durable).
Thor can obviously withstand the Sun for 5 seconds.
Darkseid has no feats.
Scaling Vision off Ultron then Vision can withstand Sun for 5 seconds. As Ultron survived Thor's lightning for more than 5 seconds.
WW has no feats, unless you count her absorbing Ares lightning (which is far hotter than the Sun).
Which Phoenix? She has no feats of extreme heat that I can remember. But she does have heat resistant feats. So I'll give here the benefit of the doubt (depending on which version)

Yeah so I read the director said he killed himself.

lol "prolong". WTH Carver.

Superman obviously as he feasts on the sun.
Thor doesn't have the speed feat, but could probably withstand the 5 seconds with the star feat he has and all.
Phoenix can probably do it.
Darkseid has no feats.

Can Supes fly from the earth to the sun in seconds?

For being in the sun without melting before even diving into it, I would consider that prolong.

More than likely. Guys damn near as fast as Flash in the DCEU and let's not even get into the Reeve's Superman.

You'd watch that crapfest twice?

Ikaris speed showing is far above light. It takes light 8 minutes to make it to the sun, Ikaris flew there in seconds. Flash has ran at the speed of light. Neither Supes nor Flash has speed showings anywhere close to this from what I've seen. Also, Flash was holding back against Supes.

I'm not debating that Flash isnt faster, but he seemed shocked and surprised that Superman was damn near as fast as he was and he wasn't holding back trying to dodge his blows. That's reflex speed anyways and we're talking flying so its a moot point in the grand scheme of things.
The Ikaris feat seemed to have a time lapse in the film though so there might be context to it. It's the way I perceived it anyways.
Not arguing with you Carv. I'm really not. I just gave my opinion based on assumption and still stand by it.

Nuuh, I wouldn't consider this arguing. We are debating which is pretty got darn fun to do. Hopefully I'm not coming off aggressive. I agree with you on your points by the way

Superman
Thor
Wonder Woman
Darkseid
Vision
Phoenix DCU Superman should be able considering he literally gets his powers from the sun and survived a nuke.
Thor could do it at least for awhile, going off his Nidavellir scene
Wonder Woman has no showings unless her braces can somehow protect her. But she can't fly, so how is she getting there?
Darkseid has no showings, but with implied power he probably could. But he can't fly, so how is he getting there?
Vision likely could by going intangible.
Phoenix - I don't recall much of her after X3, so no comment

Not if you pass through it in a fraction of a second.
Man recently built a probe that reached and passed through the Sun's corona. It did nothing to it. I wonder why?
The corona is significantly thicker than the chromosphere (the surface). It would take less time to fly through it than the corona.

What does that have to do with what I said?
Not only did Ikaris fly through it in a fraction of a second (like waving your hand through flame without being burned) but man has built a probe that has traveled THROUGH the corona without any damage.
Why do you think that is?

I'm pointing out how you're retarded and don't know anything. Everybody already knows that anyway though.

I knew about the alleged fact concerning the corona. What does that have to do with being retarded? Lastly the corona is very thin (not dense at all). Particles are spread apart by huge distances. That's why the probe can enter it without melting
So you agree with my stance?
