This will be releasing in just a few days. I'm hoping it'll be good.

It also finally gives us proper confirmation that the Netflix stuff is cannon to the MCU, seeing as we get flashback footage from the DD show in this teaser.

Does anybody care about MCU stuff at this point?

TheVaultDweller
I still follow certain MCU content that I have an interest in (although I admit that I've skipped a lot of stuff in recent times). And being a fan of the Netflix Daredevil show, Echo should provide a good indicator of how those characters will be handled going forward. It looks like it's taking a more serious tone, which is a plus. Though Secret Invasion also did that and it still ended up being dog shit, so I'll have to wait and see.

Only slight good thing about this is the potential for bringing in Punisher and doing the story when he kills the Avengers so they can reboot everything. Especially given the latest leak about the next Avengers team

I'll check it out as I'm a huge Vincent D'Onofrio fan, but not expecting much at this point. Loki S2 was so very meh.

IIRC, It was officially confirmed in Spider-Man: Far From Home, when Daredevil appeared as Peter's lawyer.

List I found has:

"Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Falcon, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Wong (Benedict Wong), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Katy (Awkwafina), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly)."

Don't have a problem with any of them except Awkwafina, she can f**k off.

Not sure who Falcon is now? Considering that was Mackie and he's Cap now. But it's slated for a late 2026, more likely 2027 release, so who knows.

I think you meant No Way Home. And, well, it was confirmed that we had a version of Charlie Cox Daredevil. But we also have a multiverse with multiple timelines and different versions of characters at this point. This teaser is the first time they've actually acknowledged events from the Netflix shows as being a cannon part of the current MCU. So, the Fisk and DD who appeared in Hawkeye, Spider-Man No Way Home and She-Hulk respectively are the same two from the Netflix show, which also implies the other Defenders exist within the MCU as well.

Add She-Hulk

They've also cut Dr Strange which is...strange...given almost everything from phase 4 and 5 has pivoted around him. They've also cut Spidey. Always a 4d chess move to cut the only successful character from the past 2 phases.

I'm good with She-Hulk as well. Though that's too big of a list, they'll likely only have 6 or so Avengers.

Could be there want to keep Strange and Spidey films on their own, with other characters joining in. Spidey makes those most sense as it's a cash-cow.

I do not give a single ****, but like Rob I see Vincent D'Onofrio and I'm suddenly interested even though I have no idea wtf this is.

If it's just rehash of his character like they did with multiverse Spiderman and Dafoe Green Goblin, then I'll probably pass. Somebody let me know, please.

BruceSkywalker
this on my to do list

TheVaultDweller
There's some early footage floating around of the fight between Echo and Daredevil. While we don't see the conclusion of the fight, from what is shown, Matt is kicking her ass. And the director apparently confirmed he was holding back during that fight. I mean it makes sense that he should be her superior but it's not the greatest look when your main protagonist gets walked by another character who apparently isn't even really trying.

Also, the choreography looks terrible lol. Strike 1 already and the show isn't even out yet.

In fairness its still not as bad choreography as the desert fight in Justice League

It was still quite bad though. But I am hoping that it was an unfinished teaser and that the final product looks better. I can give the whole Echo getting her ass kicked by a holding back DD a pass considering she is a relative noob whose most formidable H2H opponent so far has been semi-retired Hawkeye. Plus, we don't see the conclusion of the fight in the clip. But bad choreography in a show where the action is heavily focused on hand to hand combat... Not so much. Especially when films like CA:TWS, Shang Chi etc. have shown that Marvel Studios can do well-choreographed and visually interesting fights.

I decided to binge this as it's only 5 episodes and a couple of them aren't even 40 minutes long. This show was kind of disappointing. It showed some promise at the start but became less coherent with each episode. And the finale was just goofy as all hell.

BruceSkywalker
watched the first episode

i liked a lot
gonna watch episodes 2 and 3 later

BruceSkywalker
fished this
overall i enjoyed it but fave eps were 1st, 3rd and 5th episodes.
i liked how maya received her powers
cat wat to see her again

Robtard
Watched the first two and it's very meh to me. So very meh. Will try one more.

Darth Thor
I somehow sat through this. It was bad.

But glad Netflix Daredevil seems to be canon.

(For those confused, there were hints that they were using the Netflix actors but these would be different versions, kind of like the two Nic Cage Ghost Riders or the different J J Jameson's both played by the same J K Simmons ).

Kazenji
Been hearing mixed opinions on this show, Either some like it or its straight up bad.

Robtard
This wasn't good. Marvel's been on a pretty hard downward slop with shows and movies being dirty ass or worse.
