Magneto doesn't usually have a problem with bricks. The real issue is the Astro Force.

bricks of a certain level he handles easily. hulk and thor level guys are a different story. orion is in that tier. mags can win some but i'd take orion more often than not.

He's never had a problem with Thor aside from Mjolnir. Thor without that hammer vs Magneto is gonna be a bad day for Thor. Real bad.

Good thing is Orion is far more powerful than Thor.

nah. he wasn't thrilled about going up against hercules, nor has he done especially well in his meetings with hulk. in a ring scenario he's VERY unlikely to bfr. he could try suspending him or shielding him but he'd tire eventually. he'd need to get exotic to win this. i love mags and he could, but i'll take orion here for a majority. thor without the hammer would be way more interesting than you're thinking it would be too.

You realize he was facing off against an entire team of Avengers that included Hercules and he was more than holding his own while holding back and not trying to hurt them. If Magneto was seriously trying to fight vs JUST Hercules, he'd wreck him. We already know that Hercules has iron in his blood and it's vulnerable to being manipulated by Magneto :

And I'm pretty sure Thor and Orion bleed too. So....

The Mother Box will protect Orion. hell, it can even manipulate magnetism/gravity.

He was unable to do anything other than toss Hercules around and later just tossed him at hulk to keep him busy.

This is an extremely early showing and Magneto has gotten on panel upgrades since then. The point is, he CAN manipulate divine blood (at least Hercules').

Hercules and Orion are from two different divine pantheons, no reason to assume they have similar blood.

Not to mention Mother Box can easily protect Orion from any magnetic manipulation.

abhi beat me to it. in both meetings with herc all he did was toss him away. i suppose he could beat him by smashing him against the ring's force field. point is he doesn't just wantonly trash elite bricks. maybe he could control orion, but i doubt he'd control motherbox. and i think the astro force could be an issue for him as well.

Orion has gotten upgrades too. Even the Mother Box as well. He trashed Hal Jordan around like he was nothing and we all know Jordan is more uber than Magneto. Mother Box also casually blocked Hector Hammond, who was intended to be Onslaught level in the same storyline.

Anyone thinking that this would be easy for Orion is crazy. His only saving grace is that Mother Box, or Magneto going all out would pin Orion to a wall as he ripped every iron molecule out of his body.

The MB as it stands is a wild card. We have no idea what would happen if Magneto attacked the MB, he was powerful enough to affect a Celestial after all, and they are super science types as well.

On average I'd give this to Orion, but he has to work for it. Versus an out for blood Magneto not too sure about.

Yeah, with the Astro Force, he can create his own force fields, enough to block Darkseid's Omega Beams. Magneto aint getting through it
