A 45-year-old man has been arrested after police say he gave naked massages to multiple young boys. Virgil Larson is charged with five counts of felony child sexual abuse.

Court documents say on July 3rd, a Bannock County Sheriff's deputy was told of a possible sexual abuse case after "several boys had been touched inappropriately by a neighbor and church leader who was giving them massages."

Court documents state Larson was the first counselor in the leadership of his local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ward. A warrant was issued for Larson's arrest on Tuesday, and he was booked into the Bannock County Jail on the same day with a bond of $100,000.

James H. Swanson, 59, of Rome, New York was sentenced today to three years in federal prison for possession of child pornography, announced United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Matthew Scarpino, Special Agent in Charge of the Homeland Security Investigations for the Buffalo, New York Field Office.

As part of his earlier guilty plea, Swanson admitted that between March 25, 2022, and March 28, 2022, he uploaded several videos of child pornography to a cloud storage account under his control.

Swanson also admitted that he had engaged in this type of conduct for years but would periodically purge his collection of child pornography before eventually accessing, viewing, and downloading more.

According to documents filed in United States District Court, Swanson worked as a pastor for decades and most recently served as the pastor of the Rome Wesleyan Church.

In addition to sentencing Swanson to serve time in federal prison, Chief United States District Judge Brenda K. Sannes also imposed a 15-year term of supervised release which Swanson will begin serving after he is released from prison, at which time Swanson will also be required to register as a sex offender.

The youth director of a Denton church has been arrested after a parent and their child accused him of inappropriate behavior with teenagers, police say. According to police, the suspect, 63-year-old Craig Stone, was charged with indecency with a child and possession of child pornography; both felonies.

Stone is listed as the youth director and president of Nazarene Youth International at Willowwood Church of the Nazarene in Denton, according to the church's website.

After executing a search warrant on Tuesday at the church and Stone's residence, Stone agreed to talk with detectives and reportedly admitted to touching the victim, as well as to possessing images of another victim naked, police said.

Law enforcement authorities have arrested a Brite Divinity School professor and theological librarian for possession of child pornography.

Kenosha pastor Gabriel Mills was rearrested Wednesday morning following his preliminary hearing on previous charges. The Kenosha Police Department took Mills into custody after a new complainant came forward in response to the initial case.

"We had another person come forward on October 5th that indicated that they were also a victim," Kenosha police Lieutenant Josh Hecker said Wednesday.

According to reports, on September 25th, a search warrant was executed by Arkansas State Police after they received two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that were made on both Snapchat and Kik.

After reviewing the digital evidence, a search warrant was obtained for 43-year-old James Vincent Henry of Delight, Arkansas.

Reports show that Henry is the pastor of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Delight. He has previously served as a youth pastor at several churches in Centerton, Arkansas. He was ultimately arrested on October 14th and charged with 100 counts of possession, viewing, and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The first Southern Baptist pastor to face a federal criminal charge related to an abuse inquiry pleaded guilty to a felony, according to court filings on Wednesday.

Matt Queen, currently a pastor in North Carolina and a former interim provost for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas reached a plea agreement prior to a trial in the case out of the U.S. Southern District of New York. The trial was set to begin on November 13th.

Queen's guilty plea, for making false statements to federal investigators, carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison, though Queen's attorney, Sam Schmidt, expects the judge to recommend a sentence of several months at most.

As part of an investigation into the SBC and its entities, federal officials have been looking into sexual abuse that occurred in 2022 at the seminary. School officials were required to turn over any documents related to abuse to the Department of Justice.

However, an unnamed seminary official, known as "Employee-2," ordered that a report on the 2022 abuse case, which detailed that the seminary had known about the alleged abuse but failed to take action on it, be destroyed.

According to federal officials, Queen heard Employee-2 order "Employee-1," the staffer who wrote the report, to destroy it and then lied to federal officials about it.

As part of a deal, Gatlin pleaded guilty to one count and on four others entered an Alford plea.

Yeah, I am curious about the charges. Was it actual acts or attempted, was it family or someone outside his family he groomed.
