i'm not sure what fate's capable of lately. the classic version i'd say would take this more often than not probably. in a single random encounter i could see doom taking it though. i could be pretty easily convinced otherwise though. doom's armor can be a very large plot device...

I think he would be more bloodlusted and willing to do what it takes from the getgo, which with magic, may be what nets him the win in a forum fight.
Plus I'm pretty sure Doom's armour is set up to autocast spells, which would get him the edge against a human level Strange.
