Plot: Levon Cade left his profession behind to live a simple life of working construction and spending time with his daughter. However, when his boss's daughter vanishes, he's called upon to use the skills that made him a legendary figure in the shadowy world of black ops. Is it a coincidence that they dropped this on the same day that I made my Statham Slaughterfest thread or is Hollywood secretly patrolling KMC???
Statham has essentially monopolized the Taken-esque "former black ops turned vigilante" genre at this point. He really needs to do a team-up with The Equalizer, the Accountant, and/or John Wick at this point.

Statham's going to do these same films for the next 10 years and cash in. Which is a shame, because he's good in Snatch, he has some range.
Maybe another Fast and Curious, if they make another. But mostly these.

I personally like these movies, particularly Safe and The Beekeeper, although they annoy me mainly because it seems like he's doing knockoffs of the main character that he should be not only playing but be synonymous with like Hugh Jackman and Wolverine, that character being Agent 47.
To his credit, he's done some good heist films as well, most notably The Italian Job. Ultimately though, I'm glad he knows how to utilize his martial arts skills and charisma to be one of this generation's best true action stars. A lot of action stars like Donnie Yen and Jet Li have great choreography, and others like Stallone, Arnie, Willis, and Dwayne Johnson have great charisma, but Statham is one of the few besides, arguably only equal to, slightly behind, or slightly above Tom Cruise, who can combine the two.

ugh, I saw Statham and rolled my eyes..

Got around to watching this.
Twas good.
Enjoyed it a lot more than The Beekeeper; it was faster paced, Statham was less wooden, the bad guys were shittier, the victim that kicks off the plot was hella cute, and the supporting cast was solid.
Patient_Leech
Hm, then maybe I'll give this a chance if I'm bored sometime.
The Beekeeper was entertainingly ridiculous. It would have been perfect for a bad movie night.
Robtard
This was bad, even more a Statham vehicle.
