Batman (Keaton) is desperate, as Zod conquers Earth in the ongoing invasion (after Flash left), and in his desperation he offers his surrender, offering Zod the gift of the puzzlebox. Zod, in the presence of Faora and Nam-Ek, opens and solves the puzzlebox, and Pinhead and his Cenobytes appear.
Does Zod go to hell or can he stomp the demon into retreat?

Hmmm, a kryptonian who's susceptible to magic versus a supernatural being.
It's not going to end well for Zod

Pinhead has supernatural power. Only time he was physically affected in any way that i can remember was when doctor channard beat him (easily), but i don't think that really counts. channard also had the power of hell at his command, and pinhead was vulnerable to his attack because he was having an existential crisis. if he was still committed to doing hell's bidding, i believe he would have put up a real fight...but thats a paradox of course, because in that case he would have just accepted his place as channard's #2
i always considered it a huge inconsistency that his chains continued to work after he did that face turn, but i guess they needed to show the chains being cut. cinematic at the expense of reason
anyway, i think this topic is a setup for "no limits" fallacy used by pinhead's side. pinhead (when focused on being hell's bounty hunter) was always perfectly equipped to conjure up something from nothing in order to subdue or kill anyone/everyone. he never physically did anything but talk shit and nod his head to throw chains or make some other f*cked up shit happen. there's no way of debating for or against him having the power to subdue zod. the possibility exists, but it cant be asserted.

Couldn't Pinhead just BFR Zod to Hell as a last resort?

I know it's hard to debate this fight. I just like the idea of a Kryptonian fighting off Hell's minions, especially pounding Pinheads face to the fullest with all their strength, maybe in vain in the long run, but still giving the Cenobytes the fight of their lives.
