I have a Gamecube cause it has the best graphics and the best games.

Sure X-Box and Playstation may be more popular, but seeing as the mass public has horrible tastes it doesn't suprise me

Yeah, I got Prime, it's to damn long, it's not game of the year to me, Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero are games of the year to me, for 2002, I have no 2003 goty yet.

PS2. GCN seems to have a hard time with their games, so far all I have seen are re-hashs of the Nintendo characters, some Star Wars games, and the Resident Evil games that Nintendo payed so much to stay alive in. X-Box is total utter crap...go buy the same games on the computer for 20 dollars less! X-Box shows how poor Bill Gates is at making their OWN ideas (windows is not one of his ideas) the only thing I see on that console that look pretty tempting is...the upcoming Rare Ware games, Star Wars: Something of the Old Republic, everything else looks like some sports game that comes out on all consoles or some stupid online game where I must pay monthly and on a RISKY credit card.

PS2 is THE system, it has the great games FF, Kingdom Hearts,GTA,GT, Dynasty Warriors, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, MGS and so on...

JP. i love some of the games on GQ ( zelda. etc) but most of their games are aimed at a younger audience. although if i ever get the money, ill definately buy a GQ.

Celsius, you'd BETTER take back that comment, before a BIG ASS War starts, because GC has, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, Dead To Rights, enough games for ALL ages.

i know that it has quite a few great games. BUT it has FAR to many kids games. And i do love GC games. sutch as zelda, supresmash bros. i used to have a 64 and i was very sorry that i ever got rid of it.

I would agree that with Celsius that GCN is aimed at younger audiences because well jeez except for the Resident Evil games and MGS:TS all of the other games you mentioned are available on all three consoles if im not mistaken. Also why do you think GCN is now selling the GCN for $150 you get a free game and a free demo disc? Because the are'nt selling.

i've got a ps2 and an x-box and i like them 50:50. I had a gc and all my friends have gc's but i just don't like them. They only have a few games that i like. Like Celsius and another smithy i think the majority of their games r aimed at kids

They're absolutely right about Nintendo targeting little kids. Most Nintendo games are designed for little kids, with the exception of Resident Evil/Eternal Darkness and other mature type games- these games dont sell well on Gamecube. (Eventhough they are brilliant)

And Gamecube as a whole is not selling well compared to the other systems.

But that doesn't matter to me, because Nintendo will always have the most original games, as far as I'm concerned.

They HAVE to keep E games on GC, because I don't know alot of 13-17 year olds still gaming, and Super Mario Sunshine doesn't count as a game, that's a huge piece of garbage, and Smash Bros. is fun for all ages, I have the first, and Melee, and went insane with them for about a year each, Mario Kartouble Dash!!, I intend to buy because it seems like it'll be great, the new Zelda games (No not the E3 annouced "MINIGAMES!", I mean the ones Nintendo promised before GC 2 came out, a new cel-shaded one, and a new one like OoT, those will be great games, for Teenagers because of the complicated story and such, and Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness, DO sell well, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil Zero are down to $29.99, because they DID sell well, RE selling A LOT more then Zero, but that's why Zero was in that Free game thing, but I DID buy Zero the day it came out here, Eternal Darkness was up for game of the year in 01', if Nintendo brings Outlaw Volleyball to the GC, that'll be a GREAT move, since I own and love Outlaw Golf, and with True Crimes Streets Of LA, Dragon Ball Z:Budokai, for those without a Ps2, Soul Calibur 2, to those who love Link over the other characters like me, that new wrestlemania game, I don't watch wrestling, but I know people who got the other one, hopefully their will be an Eternal Darkness 2, oh and not at all to be forgotten, the BETTER Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid:The Twin Snakes, Ps2 and XBox have the garbage SoL game, even with Substance it's garbage, and 3 HOPEFULLY will full in what killed 2 for me, but GC has a nice collection of games for all ages, Rogue Squadron 3, Metroid Prime 2, Resident Evil 4, what an AMAZING game that will be, Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles, 1080:Avalanche, first one was great, 2nd will be better, Def Jam Vendetta, James Bond:Everything Or Nothing, Mario Golf:Toadstool Tour, Mario Party 5, Resident Evil CODE:Veronica X port, port, but will be the best one yet, Phantasy Star Online 3, SSX 3, Viewtiful Joe, Wario World.

OO7:EON will be on all systems... also FF:CC is going to be complete garbage like FFXI.

Mario Sunshine wasn't that bad, it just took a while to get used too.

Mario 128 will more than make up for what sunshine was missing.

Infact Nintendo has a 'revolutionary' new idea with Mario 128, and as such have not released any screen grabs from the game cause they fear someone will steal their idea...strange

XBOX FOR EVER!!! i played metroid prime once at the game store... it was the worst thing i ever experienced...

havent played it, but i heat that its good. i LOVE zelda, its a thing of genius, but i was VERY dissapointed when they made it CEL graphics. If anyone has seen all the previews before the GC came out. those looked really good. (the ones where link is fighting Ganondorph)

No way, the shaded cel graphics added a whole new feel to the Zelda series. It was absolutely beautiful.

Wind Waker was great, but I can't wait for the next Zelda game like OoT!

i own an xbox and a psII and sometimes play on the pc. personally i prefer the xbox right now. i don't like playing on the pc (maybe because i play on a commadore64... put in giant floppy, type load, then type run and bang... i'm playing classic pitfall) maybe i really don't like pc games is because i'm a network admin by trade and when i get home from work i don't want to play on a pc (glad i never became a gynecologist). the psII has loads of games but the xbox the gameplay is just smoother... more fluid, if that makes sense. i would like to get a gamecube just for zelda, but i do not want to spend the money on another system... that the last thing in the world i need.

I got a cube and an xbox. I have only 3 games right now though bcuz i alwayz trade them in at ebgames.But i have ncaa football 2004,nba 2k3, and then KOTOR for xbox.

the xbox has 2 different controllers... they have one with a large X in the middle and the black and white buttons are above the other buttons... the better more erganomical controller is the smaller one with the black and white buttons under the other buttons... its a much more compact controller with the buttons closer togather...

I've only experienced the big fat black ones.

Gamecube -
Graphics: Well, we all know that the graphics could be better. I mean, it's ass is kicked clear across the playground on this one.
Controller: I find gc's controller to be the best out of all three. It's not to confusing, no stretching my thumb, and it's comfy. It ownz here.
Selection: Great selection. Mario, Zelda, Bomberman, It's got the classics.
Extra: nothing...
Rating: 7 fairly good

X-Box -
Graphics: X-Box's graphics are rather awesome. They kick others to the curb. It ownz here.
Controller: The worst of the three. Hella confusing.
Selection: With the exception of Halo the selection is the suck. It's all sports and first person shooters. Anything that isn't you can get for another system.
Extra: You really wanna give Bill Gates more money?
Rating: 5 all graphics

Ps2 -
Graphics: Great graphics. But, depends on the game more the other systems.
Controller: I never got ps controllers and I never will. The dual analong is uneeded.
Selection: If your an rpg freak (like me) this is for you. It has the final fantasy series which is a plus...I guess.
Extra: Triples as dvd player and cd player.
Rating: 8 awesome


My choice is ps2. Doesn't have as good as a selection as game cube but it's selection is great!!

I think in the long run x-box will own people will play it for the online function the ps2 one sucks ass and it has lots of great games coming out Halo 2 Fable the star wars games and its way more powerful then the other systems

Gamecubes graphics are good but they aren't nearly as good as ps2

PS2 is the supperior of the three even though the graphics may lack a bit in some parts which isnt very noticable, the gameplay makes up for it all the game designers are the best of the three and the controller is the best whe you hold it, it just feels so right, PS2 has games appealing for everyone , now thats just my opinion being a PS2 fan i mean i own an x-box and it seemed for a while all the games were empty and un challenging but then i realized every system has pretty muchall the same games or games reflecting console only games so i realized it was game development so what ever system you have you pretty much have all systems because pretty much every game comes out for each system and if not theres one for the system you have which is similar in gameplay to it so i really dont think it matters virtual reality will replace everything soon anyway lol awwww virtual cindy i cant wait to feel her pixals

i own both a ps2 and a gamecube they both have there own reasons for buying them ps2 has games like gta and gran turismo whereas gamecube has games like zelda mario and metroid. if i were you i would read into each console and see what the top 10 games are on all formats then decide which ones you think u would like the best and go for that one.

Another gamecube is the fast loading times, it takes PS2 and XBOX forever to load a game, especially sports games.
Gamecube just races through the load, cause it uses cute little CDs

XBOX is the best. i don't own it but i've played ps2, gc and xbox all equally and xbox is the best system, best graphics, best controlle(took me awhile to really get used to it and truelly appriciate it but it's even better than the ps controller) and keep in mind i said xbox the system is the best, not the games. So far the games for xbox are mediocre, better than the crappy kids games on gc but not as much variety and class as ps2 games. And 007 nightfire kicks ass on xbox, but it sucks on everyone other platform.

I have a GC, I've played X-Box and PS2, and from the three, GC has the best graphics. Microsoft CLAIMS the X-Box has the best processor, so why don't they use it?

As for games, GC might have started out slow, but things are really looking up from this fall on up. Soul Caliber II (With Link ), Rebel Strike, Viewtiful Joe, F-Zero GX, just to name a few...

Dude, it is. Nintendo has always made games geared towards children dumbass. I have the original nintendo and same goes for that system, but that system kicks ass. Gamecube sucks big monkey balls, and so did 64. XBOX is the shit. Best Controller and awesome Graphics. I haven't really compared XBOX's graphics with GC's but either way xbox still has better graphics than ps2.

PS2 is the best, the graphics on the box may be a bit sleaker and crisp but when it comes down to it there not that much better, most games look exactly alike, Its true xbox has more power capacity and thats what makes it a dissapointment because its not being used. to me the games availible only on the box are empty and un challenging, Ps2 has more console only games and most of them are entertaining and original , this is just my opinion though because when it comes down to it the three systems out now are pretty much the same, gamecube is a couple steps behind in power but they make it up with original and entertaining games. some say "oh gamecube is to kiddish" why becuase it doesnt pump out as many games with senseless killings and more gore than the whole horror industry. but they all pretty much share the games they have and the ones they dont is what you hsould look at when you compare the systems and thats why i say Ps2 is better because theres so much more variety in the games than any other system, if x-box had the originality and creativity as the ps developers has then it would prelly be champion but omst of there games seem recyled. They do have a list of possible great games comming out so maybe my opinion will change

And i guess ur right xbox's POTENTIAL is a lot better than either ps2 or gc but they aren't really using it or have gotten there yet. Actually no i'm not a result of "mainstream gaming", and believe it or not i love Super Mario once of my all time favorite games-the original being the best of course. BUT games like Zelda and other rpgs are crap. I hate rpgs. And GC seems to focus on these types of games. And no i don't just go "oh look lots of guns" but for me racing games such as GT series(best game series ever constructed, at least racing wise) and midnight club series, and halo-and a lot of other first person shooters are what i call fun games. Not some freakin rpgs like Zelda. Bottom line like ragesremorse said PS2 has the most variety of games, most of them being good quality ones, and that's probabaly why i play have it.

PS2 has the widest variety of crap games, I'd take 10 super high quality games(Nintendo) over 3000 crap-o-rama games(PS2).

GT series, midnightclub series, need for speed series(also on pc), Acecombat, MX2002 and Superfly, cool boarders 3(being the best, on ps), crash bandicoot series, ssx and ssx tricky, jet moto series...there are tons more great ones

well here is my idea
the game cube mostly has crappy kiddie games (okie some are good but mario and all the other nintendo crap is pathetic once you reach age 10)
the Xbox looks like a great console and it might very well be but I won't ever buy it for 2 reasons:
1- it's microsoft, sooner or later they will find a huge problem with it (after all they brought us like 12 edition of windows and the thing still sucks ass)
2- it's microsoft, I will not sponsor the damn unfriendly bastards if I don't have too

so that leaves me with just one option the PS2. with which I am very happy, can't wait to see what the PS3 is gonna be like

I'm sorry, but this is wrong. Why do gameenthusiasts, reviewers, journalists, most people who grew up gaming before the playstation; all agree that mario and zelda are among the absolute best game series, and that nintendo is THE most recognized developer in teh world? Um... probably because Mario was the first real adventure video game, and Zelda is the longest established video game series, and Nintendo IS the most recognized developer in the world. Sorry bud, but if you say video game developer, the first thing most people think of is Nintendo or Atari.

And remember, when Nintendo came out with their first working system, Sony was still making BetaMax audio tapes, and Microsoft didn't even have Windows.

Em..no, this kind of ignorance actually pisses me off. Most serious gaming friends I have greatly respects and enjoy the Nintendo games. It's the same on gaming communities worldwide and on the net. Check out a multi-platform message board.
The Zelda series is sheer brilliance, and that's a fact. The Mario-series is the best platformer out, MEtroid is the best action-adventure; with the brilliant new chapter Metroid Prime. Through the years NIntendo have made great RPG's like Earthbound, sports games like 1080 snowboarding and Tennis, racing like Wave Race, Mario Kart, THE ALLMIGHTY F-ZERO; FOREFATHER OF FUTURISTIC RACING, weird new concepts like Pikming and Animal Crossing, and the list goes on. When Atari crashed the entire gaming industry, Nintendo revived it and was responsible for its rebirth through the NES.

How can you even try to say that only 10-year olds can like those games when indeed people of all ages, hardcore gamers, hail them as the best? Get a grip.

i think GC is a good system with fun games, but not even dropping 5 hits of acid would make there graphics the best, GC is the bottom of the barrel for best graphics

right now i have a ps2 and my computer. I use to have dreamcast (sold it), Playstation (gave it away) Sega Saturn (gave it away), and Super Nintendo (gave it away). I mostly play games on my computer like Warcraft 3 and Counter-Strike (haven't played counter strike for 1 year).
